I am on the verge of ordering a new type r but really want to test drive the cupra, spoke to premier stoke (2 weeks) lc charles next week or so, why so much delay surely seat know they are losing customers...

So anyone know when dealers really are expecting them...

Also what are we looking at as far as delivery is it still april may or poss sooner, the only options i want are ipod and bluetooth prob in black, is the black just the cost of mettalic????

Thanks.

it will most likely be a poverty spec one (no frills) but they should have one for the showroom & one for demo's

I spoke to my dealer yesterday when I ordered my FR TDI and he was saying that he should get a showroom model in next week but would have to wait about 3 months for a demo...

Been to lc charles in crewe today they say they are getting one thursday/friday and will be available for test drive next weekend so i will book one for next sun.

Kevo....why u wanting to swap the GTI???

No other reason other than it is 2 years old in april and time for a change.
It is by far the best all round car i have owned..To be honest it will be very hard to replace and at the mo the new type r is top of the list..

That could be mine then, as i'm having the demo off them, the buggers said they havent got the chassis number yet!!
Was it the showroom car they had or the demo do you know??
As you can tell i'm chomping at the bit to get my car.
its poverty spec but i'm having a dvd player fitted, and they are gonna have a go at chipping it, as from what they say they are going to be superchip dealers.

Any chance you could find out some more, i can chase the salesbod then!!

I woud get a test drive in the Civic before parting with cash, as if the reviews are to be believed it ain't much cop.

Why not keep hold of the GTi and add a little REVO, will certainly change the car as a whole

I work in North Shields (near Newcastle), where there's a large VAG import "car park" with transporters full of new Audi, VWs and Seats leaving every hour or so. Last Friday when I was driving home I was overtaking one of these transporters upon which I saw two very sporty looking new Leons. On closer inspection I could clearly see the Cupra on there rears. So they're obviously in the country and being distributed to the dealers as we speak. I was told there would be one available at the end of February i.e. this week from the main Newcastle dealer.
