So the s2000 or civic areial will fit straight onto any leon, is there any difference in signal quality/strength?
Question: Does the areial base have a amp built into it, does a aftermarket headunit need a adapter to feed it 12v?. I have fitted a JVC unit but did not connect a live feed to it - it works but I have noticed the quality kind of changing as I drive through the town. I can't compare it to the OEM headunit radio as it never had one when I bought it.
I got an in-line aerial signal amplifier/booster from my local audio place and this makes the radio signal a lot stronger as with all VAG cars (it seems) they have an aerial booster in the original HU.
Same booster as i use but was far cheaper on ebay.
Yes connect it to 12v.
I use one of a C2

The Halfords website says a Leon needs this product

I understood all this did is feed 12v to a amp which is already in the areial base.
joking, on a more serious note honda garge or ebay your best bet
