Wheres the manifold pressure sensor?

My cars had the VAG-COM treatment today (thanks to Ric 2001) And its got the following error: 17564 P1156 Manifold Abs.Pressure Sensor Circ. Open/Short to Ground

So does anyone know where the sensor is so i can check out the wiring?

Thats one one going into the Intercooler i think...

Yeh ive been reading up on it, i was expecting it to be closer to the manifold but it looks like its the one in the intercooler piping.

I thought it was the little sensor in the ecu at the end of the vacuum pipe. If im wrong, whats is the ecu one called?

Dunno, I think its somethin to do with this

It was a bit of a bodge job if i'm honest im going to solder it properly and it should work properly. VAG-COM says its not the sensor but a wiring fault.

I cant comment on the ecu sensor, all I know about is the MAF and MAP sensor

Yeah mate, as already said, the sensor is plugged into the FMIC. If its short, your car might randomly boost/ or limp until fixed mate.

If it is the sensor itself, its £30 from a dealer!

Im going to try soldering it properly first then im hoping it'll be fixed, otherwise I'll get the sensor.
