I own a 2014 SEAT Leon FR TDI DSG and i'm looking to upgrade the infotainment system to the more modern one that you would find in the SEAT Leons post 2017. I've checked my system information inside my car and it states this:

Part Number: 5F0035869A
Hardware Version: 180
Software Version: 0148
Bluetooth Version: C840

Hope this helps!

I don't know the numbers etc but there are basically three types.

The one you have, which is the crappest system, smallest screen and is missing features you find on the other two.

The next one has a bigger screen, four buttons either side and adds useful features like carplay, android auto etc.

The third one, the facelift one you are talking about, is exactly the same as the proceeding system with a slightly larger screen and no buttons or proximity sensor. So all you're gaining is a screen about a centimeter bigger, which you don't even notice in use. What you're losing is ease of use as you have no direct access buttons, you have to go through the on-screen menu for everything, and no proximity sensor so you need to touch the screen to pull up the pop-up menus.

Basically, the middle option is the best. The best speced pre-facelift one. The facelift one looks better but it is worse to use and has no extra functionality.
