Ok cheers lads, im running 235/19's on my mk1 with a 30mm drop and never had rubbing but was planning on sticking with 225 on the mk2 so will have to see how the ride is after changing springs/suspension (as horrible crashy it at the moment!!!) before deciding on what size wheels.

you may need to mod the front arches very slightly, ie; just take a screw out inside the arch and maybe bend a bit of metal (which you cant see on the outside)
Let us know how you get on fella as currently looking at a few sets and dont really want to have a set delivered that fit ok but when lowered foul the arches.
...its always always 'in a couple of days'Could you not get them direct at Rimstock? Hope you get them sorted mate.

Just a quick update guys on my sportline lowered FR.
Just taken delivery of my Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 Black with red lip.
18inch, 40 offset, 225 Toyo T1r's.
Gotta say looks the business
They fit like a dream, fill the arches better than the 17inch FR wheels.
Stance looks a lot more aggressive due to the extra .5inch width of wheel and the offset makes each wheel stick out an extra 21mm.
No fouling of the arches, done a few twisties and tight corners, no rubbing or catching on pot holes either given them a thorough run.
