hi guys.
my nearside window is currently hanging in the door cavity n when i took the door card off it looks like both sides have sheared off at the runners. got it booked in tomorrow aft. but if its gunna be loads i may have to cancel and leave it taped up till psyday.
any ideas on cost region?
tom.

is it manual or power?? if its power, i would imagine u shud just buy a new regulator...only £25 quid for one....£30 if they are hard to get hold of

Regulators and motors are one piece on the mk2, approx £90 + vat for a genuine one

Depending on where there broken they can sometimes be repaired (even if it's only as a temp)

if you can find a decent one i would go for scrappers like....but then again would be hard to tell which ones are tired...

all depends on if you want the cheap option or not really

cheers guys. was going to add; i know the only mk2 in local scrappers around here is manual windows n mine are electric.

will wait and see what this bloke says tomorow and might just have to bite the bullet. will be nice to be able to roll both windows again lol.

Im probably going to regret saying this but i bought a regulator and motor off ebay (someone breaking their car) that was 4 years ago and its still going strong (fingers crossed i haven't just jinxed myself).

2for sale in the accessories section, didn't say they've been sold yet?! was toying with getting them for myself seeing as i have got through 3 or 4 now and never have the cash to buy spanking ones at the time. or maybe ask dave at seremotors,he gave me some nice prices for other parts :)

Its the plastic clips that go on the runners. They break then the metal part that grips the glass falls out.

If you have a look, you'll see an hole within the plastic. place the metal grip back, cut a 5mm peice of rubber tube to go over the square part of the plastic runner then stick a fat screw in there. Jobs a good'un

i'll get a pic if you really need it

mine popped off the peg when the bits broke off so put a washer/rubber over it and held it back in with a split pin

works sweet
