Window wipers

Back and front wipers keep coming on by themselves and will only go off if I pull the wiper stalk forward. Im guessing that there must be a relay or something like that which is knackered but where is it? Also temp gauge doesnt move until car heats rite up then goes down while driving so im replacing the thermostat this weekend, knowing my luck it will prob be the temp sensor tho lol

hiya.. i have exactly the same problem.. we changed the relay which helped for a few days however now the problem is back!!! i think its my wiper stalks them selves as they seem loose.. but cant seem to find replacments!! i thought it was a common problem for these to go on cupra's!!??

Check the connections on the hazard light button.

I know it sounds stupid, mine did the same.
I can operate my wipers by pushing in the hazard light button very slowly, when the button gets to a certain point the front and rear wipers operate.
