Windows stuck open

i disconnected my 03 Leons battery today, reconnected it and tried all the features to make sure they were ok.
I opened the windows using the key in the drivers door lock and now i can't close them.
I've tried all the switches - nothing, i disconnected the battery lead again and reconnected - nothing
I can hear the motors in all the doors for the windows but there's no movement

the windows are now all stuck in the fully open positions - help

have you checked the fuses??

might be the wires from the sensor?? maybe they dont drive if this is disconnected for safety?

fuse is ok (same 1 for c/locking which is still working)

any idea where the sensor is?

if it was a sensor then it would probably be just one window that wont work.

are all the connectors on the door card(s) back in the right place?

yep, everything is back as it should be

the motors click but just wont send the windows up?

are all wires joined back up? make sure none of them are earthing to the door apart from the real earth? make sure all connectors are back in place, aint much else involved really...still sounds like a wiring issue to me...

have you tried doing it from passenger/rear door controls?

tried all door switches - you can hear the motors clicking

Sounds like they need reset, try putting the windows back up with the key and let them stay (with key in position) for 5 secs, should sort it

tried the key in door lock but nothing moves

tried disconnecting battery for 10 mins to reset but that didn't work

you sure the fuses ok, the ibiza has one for each window?

yep - handbook shows 1 fuse (number 38) for e/windows + c/locking - it's fine

checked all the other fuses as well and they were good

Do the electric mirrors work?

yep both mirrors work (don't fold though?) and c/locking is fine

this is a wiring issue!!! re-check the wiring
