traction control light on all the time???

like the title says my traction control light has come on and will not go off, ive had the car plugged in and there are no faults recorded, but after plugging it in the light went out, then after ticking over for 10 seconds it was back on.

all help much appreciated.

my abs light is fine, it is just the traction control light, as soon as you reset the ecu it goes out then within 10 seconds of starting it again its back on.

could be the maf (air flow sensor) theses fail often.
easiest ways to check are using vag com or swap with someone elses (must be exactly same part number).

if its this it will be about £80 exchange from dealer

would this bring on the t/c/light then? the engine management seems to stay off

yes it will. im not syaing it IS this. but it by far the most common reason for this.

i had this problem, just turned out to be the t/c button itself.

really, how can i find out? if i un plug the switch will it be always on or always off?

plugging it into diagnostics will tell you

its been plugged in and theres no faults recorded.

get it checked by someone with the right equipment

all dash lights will show a FC

it was checked by the a user on here with rac equipment.

RAC & AA tools are gash & rarely work (properly) on SEAT's

Vagcom or 1551/2 machine is what's needed

took it to seat as was still under warrenty. so guess they plugged in and it said what was wrong

is it doing it only post remap?

probably a maf failure... but I wonder if the ECU wires are connected right if you've had that out?

it started before i removed the ecu, but it was just after premier tuning tried to remap my car and failed.
