Any before anyone thinks i'm just **** stiring take a look at this as posted by Bill when he first had his IHI done (with side mount IC).

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showpost.php?p=134965&postcount=1

For those who can't be arsed to read it...Bill's car made 330bhp with a standard side mount IC. Now are Jabba really saying that the Forge FMIC item isnt even as good as a stock item? ;)
Lol Martin, Bills car got 330bhp on the older rollers which as we know are generous! Petes car would have been run on the newer rollers which are used for BT, AM04 etc. I gurantee Bills 330bhp would have been more like 310bhp on the new rollers and Petes would be 340bhp on the older rollers. So Bills would infact be down on Petes 320bhp with the Forge FMIC.
Forge have confirmed it is beyond its max, therefore it will be holding power back.

All intercoolers will have a limit to how much they can flow (yes even the best forge intercooler in the world).

Forge said themselves that there cooler is not designed to cope with that much power which is fair enough.
Buy the jabba intercooler or any other which is designed and capable of doing the job properly.
You could always stick a forge sticker onto it to keep the die-hards happy

My advise would be to go do a different rolling road, get the current figure that the car is producing and see what the results are. If they are the same as the Jabba results then go for their cooler, get it dyno'd at Jabba again, then go to the same rr as before and see how it compares.

Our GT28RS Audi TT/S3 kits always make 350 bhp with the 2 STD SMIC's. There is only a few bhp increase with a front mount. Even at that BHP level, the STD injectors are only running at 85% capacity.

If anyone wants to develop a GT28 kit with us then just give us a call!! If not then i may have to do it :)

my kit fitted
Ive just fitted a forge to mine and it is quality but ifi was going well over 300bhp id probly save the few extra pennies later n get jabbas FMIC

Wayne, Jabba's rollers over-read regardless of which set they run his car on so your statement hardly holds any weight :) Just take a look at your RR result...I bet that was from Jabba or Stealth :) The dyno lottery is a wonderful thing :)

Also why do people keeping ignoring the facts? We all know how much better a Forge IC is over a standard FMIC so why the bullshit? (Going back to Bill's car). Matt's car is also running high figures without even being close to having a cooling problem (another fact!)!

I personally don't believe any statements made about Forge's FMIC limits until I see it posted up by a member of Forge's staff!

At the end of the day I'm only trying to save the boy a few quid!

look dude i aint talkin poo... if the guiy at froge had said no its capable of over 400bhp id of been straight on to the phone to jabba sayin its upto that the figures aint up there! after all i want to save money to! i ainrt buyin no intercooler yet! and as matt said wel take them on same rollers wen we get back see what the difference is i was just wondering what peoples opinions were on the situation. that is why the topic is called help please... As some of us aint as mechanically minded as others on here. (that would be me) haha yep lets get spome videos up tomoz afternoon wen we get back

Both sets over-read do they? What about the 2 AM04 figures of 260bhp at Jabba then (David and Josh I think). Are they 'over' then :) I'd be very worried if they were.
I know my figures are high lol but that's because they run mine (and all ko3/s etc) on their older inertia rollers. It is, as you say, the dyno lottery though.

I'd be very worried if they were.

i know your not having a dig mate, but why would i be worried??

im more than happy with my turbo, 260bhp or not, i know what its like to drive on the road, its not a quick boost and die like all k03/k03S based turbo's, im still seeing 20psi and 253bhp @7k . in a different league imo even on a soft map

althrough admittedly i thought it was only their old rollers that were inacurate

Pete, i reckon you will sh1t yourself when you take your car out , cant wait to see your vids :D

why does everyone think its all about supporting forge when its nothing like that

do i have huge forge graphics down the side of my car??? hell no

you seem like the type of ...... person (thats the word im lookin for) that would!

and you know me how, cos you dont like some of the things i post???

cant have everyone agree with you mate...thats life!

i just know forge sell quality products with service to back it up and if it were my company i'd be very proud of. as it goes i have a Forge sticker on my strutbrace next to Revo and Seatsport. and i carry a forge keyring with my keys at all times. even the bloody keyring is high quality and it was free!

i wonder if jabba would send a new cooler out to you next day delivery if something went wrong with it

Well............... today we travelled the 230 miles to Jabba to pick up Pete's cupra.

All i can say is WOW........ its slightly nippy. Very very smooth power delivery, but it pulls so strong all the way to 7.5K. What a machine.

I had a spy under the bonnet, and i gotta say i am very impressed by there workmanship, top notch. DP is a very tight squeeze.

Its currently running 1.3 BAR on high boost setting @ 323 BHP and 1 BAR low setting @ 274 BHP.

But Pete is still insisting he wants more, so he's gonna be getting a new intercooler soon and having another road trip to Jabba to get it tweaked.

But i could't pay a visit to Jabba without getting something for mine. New discs and pads.

Of course I'm not having a dig mate. It's just that Martyn suggested that both Jabba rollers read over. I can't see that being the case as I believe your 260bhp to be 'genuine'. What I meant was I'd be worried if your 260bhp was over what it 'should be' be ie it actually being less than 260bhp.
