Oil for 20K Service

Just a quick one.

Getting my 20k Service done next sat at VAG-Tech was just wondering if its worth getting any particular oil for them to put in?

Or just let them put in the Seat Approved fully synthetic stuff?

As long as its not long life you'll be fine. 0/40 fully synthetic is the best bet IIRC.

We just arent very keen on letting a car go for 20 - 30 thousand miles without having any form of service.

Just use synta gold from GSF, good oil!

Of course, that goes without saying. But your post implied there was something wrong with using long life oil in our cars, even if it were to be serviced according to the correct schedule?

Probably been discussed before, but what about general top up oil to use. What would people recommend?

I think ill just go with there stuff then. Will cost me more if i supply the oil!!

Try and keep to the same as already in the car if possible. So if a garage is doing your service, ask them what make, type and grade of oil they used and then buy yourself a top up bottle of it
