any one gone from milltek to blue flame

im thinking of doing this very soon i have a milltek cat back at the mo but want to get a turbo back blue flame system

any one done this?

what sort of changes wer there?

Why dont you just get a downpipe and cat from BF and mate it to your miltek system?

I've got a milltek cat back as well and with a ko3s sitting waiting to go on, I feel I might as well go the whole hog with the exhaust.

Wouldn't a reducer be needed to mate the BF to the milltek?

What would it work out cost wise? Cheaper to sell the milltek and get a full BF system or buy a BF DP and cat and mate it up.

I'm also concerned about the loudness of the BF. I love the sound of the milltek at full chat but appreciate the quietness (as do the neighbours) when its at idle.

I went from the 2.1" Milltek to a 3" dp and was surprised by the difference it made. Spool up was faster and hit pulled harder top end oh and it gained 14bhp.

Top to bottom is, 3.0" AM dp then you've got the 2.1" rip off milltek dp and the bottom is the 2.0" standard.

No, the top one is 3" all way through then steps down to 2.5".

The blueflame one starts the same size then tapers down to 2.75" then evenually to 2.5". But unlike the milltek it is actually 2.5"

very interesting read this, the car i'm about to buy has the milltek cat back system and I was lookin into gettin the bigger downpipe, didnt realise it made that much of a difference

I have the 2.5" downpipe and race cat on mine made one hell of a differance more that my forge FMIC imo.


When you buying mate? Obviously a cupra.... colour etc...

I'll be buying it next monday hopefully, when my mates back his holiday, its in black lowered, milltek cat back and recirc dump valve, mint condition inside and out as well

The Milltek's i've seen for the ibiza mk3 have been 2.1" at the narrowest point!! I'd go the blueflame mate, it might not look as pretty but it's cheaper and better!

blueflame dp/sports cat and scorpion cat back, i just try not to rev it too much coming down the road by my house at night lol but on the open road its got a great noise to it.
