FR Front Bumper - Anyone modified to look like Cupra?

hi all

I am considering whether to modify my FR front bumper to look like the Cupra (larger area of black around plate and centre vent)

Has anyone changed their front bumper to the Cupra one, or opted to respray FR one?

Pictures or ideas appreciated.

Same shape, but Cupra has a larger, more 'inyourface' look, as more of the central area is matt black.

I have searched forum and found only one thread suggesting that the extra black area is a seperate moulded part?

Well, the FR has a colour coded line at the bottom of the grill, where as the Cupra does not

Me too, I had no idea. I guess you cant really tell that much then, so for me its not a big deal, I would rather spend my money on something else, maybe upgrading the speakers

Just to say thats a really good modification....2 or 3 horse power and moore streght bye the motor in high motor rotation.

Not forbidden at all...it just has nothing to do with the thread - Bumpers lol

Anyway, I dont think you can modify the FR bumper to the accept the Cupra bit...to me it looks like the Cupra bit is all plastic and attached to the above honeycombe grill, you would need to then cut the FR bumper.

Unless the cupra item goes on over the top of the FR bumper???? I will try and check ETKA tonight

Dont think I'll be doing it...I prefer the FR bumper

The bumpers are identical, except the cupra has two bits sprayed matt black. If you have a close look at the cupra you can see where its been painted black afterwards.

Thats what I thought MartH - Mabye I can get a local paint shop to 'jaz' up my FR - In Matt black of course.

Good move, I kinda liked the grey FR Mirrrors when I first saw them but after I got my car I hated them, almost as much as I hate the Cupra mirrors (too shiny). I got mine colour-coded and they look amazing

Is it easy/cheap to change a standard Leon front bumper to a FR or Cupra style bumper? Reason I ask is that last night some stupid pillock reversed into my car in a car park, and trashed the bumper and headlight.

h&r lowers the car insanely...
i was planning to buy eibach prokit , but h&r lowers properly i think...

elDuke - Nice Motor. Did you do the nose paint job yourself? Did you use a matt paint?

yeah we did it in a paint shop of a friend we paint the middle front lip and the interior part inside and outside and its black paint with a matte finish...........................
