Hi All,

Its probably been asked before but I couldn't find a definitive answer but can Cruise Control be retro fitted on the Leon MKII? I know that you can do it on a MKV or a MKIV Golf but can it be done on the Leon?
Thanks,
Alex

Nope, afraid not. I got a pre reg Ref Sport with the BTCC Kit and it didn't have CC installed or Bluetooth :(
Any ideas on cost and where I can get it from? Dealers?
But hey, I got a good deal on it and it was the last one that they had with kit on.

I've been quoted £160 fitted and ECU coded. But that is down south.

I'll be getting booked in once payday arrives.

Remember that Audi, VW, Seat and Skoda all share most common parts. I think they are coming from a Skoda base, but what the hell if it works. ;)

i think the vw and audi cruise controls come on a different stalk (they used too anyway unless they changed them recently), whilst the Seat cruise control on our car is built into the lights stalk.

by that i mean for the vw's and audi's i have driven there are 2 stalks on the left hand side, one for the lights and nother one below it solely for the cruise control.

as mentioned it shouldnt matter either way as long as it works. (but i do prefer the CC on a separate stalk as i keep hitting the indicators when cancelling it!). if i remember correctly the CC dealer retro fit for the golf gti was only £175 which was cheaper than the factor ordered CC option..??? dunno how that figures!

Interesting.....I recently drove a brand new VW Jetta and a Golf TDI that had CC and it was all on the indicator stalk like the Seats (in fact it might of been the same stalk that is on the Leon) Might of been something that has changed recently.
Will check it out anyways.
Thanks guys,
Alex

They should come from the same parts bin just different prefix for the various chassis, i.e. 1P for Leon MKII.

There is a chap doing retro cruise control in the south but maybe if he is up North at some stage you could persuade him to fit..:)

www.octavia-vrs.com

I know his site is pro Skoda but you will find many identical parts within.

Just got an email back from Jim at Star Peformance and they are quoting £190 (excluding VAT) or £223.25.
Sounds like a good price, when's pay day again? :D

Had mine retro fitted and works very well. Only issue is there is no indication on the dash that I am on cruise.

All for £160. ;)
