Got a custom code remap booked in for friday (can easily cancel), but was speaking to revo today and tbh Im seriously unsure on which one to get I can afford both, the revo one costing £470incl VAT and the custom code £315incl VAT. So wondering is it worth the extra £155 for revo? Speaking to the revo guy he says that custom code arnt up 2 much, but then again he would say that. Have to say that 145bhp he quoted sounds very good and the lad knows his stuff, was inpressive seeing his R32.
 
I dont have any experience of either but personally would go for the Custom Code as it's cheaper and spend the £155 left over on other bits ;)
 
I've had Revo on my last 5 SEATs 2 petrol 3 diesel,

on my 100PD I had a custom code Phase 1 and was very linear but when I had the Revo put on it (don't ask) it felt a lot quicker and had noticably more punch.
And that has done 40K miles no problem

I've got a Revo based remap on now (tweaked for the FMIC) and it's running great
 
I cant comment on revo remap but I'm very happy with the cutom code stage 1 remap on my pd100.

Over the standard tune the stage1 remap gives power all the way up thru the rev range, with no apparent flat spots or hesitation. The car is now 'very' driveable, and gives lots of fun off the lights and accelerating doesnt involve dropping a gear. Couldnt be happier..........thats if my clutch lasts ;)

I'm looking at getting my 100bhp 1.9 TDi remapped after Christmas, think it's going to be done by celtic tuning - £300 for a 50bhp increase, which I think is pretty good value for money.
 
think 50bhp is what they all give pretty much mate. I mean the gains arnt to diffrent in them both, but I have to say I know revo has been tested more.
 
the option of sps is a big pluss side for revo but then again having a map persifically for your car must be the plus for cc maps . dont no if i would trust the rollers that the custom code would use if they were theres as it is easy for them to tell you what you want to hear
 
From their website they certainly seem to do a good job and best of all, they travel to you, rather than the other way round.
 
if your planning or want to be able to switch the programme, ie on off or maybe tweak a little later if you mod more, then id say revo.

But if not then go CC.

difference in maps is usually revo has more of a kick while cc hold a more liniar delivery.

On the 'revo guy bit' is this the local dealer? if so the quality of the map has nothing to do with him, as hes a dealer.

I notice you say in another thread that the cc map has an advantage as it doesnt need the select device. Revo doesnt need this. its an option. you can have car set up when its loaded.

You can toggle Custom Code on and off too I beleive. Get a serial cable and download the software from CC website.
 
C-C will be alot smoother and most likely save your clutch.

Revo will be more thrusty (good word! :) ) and torque will wallop up quicker.
