Don't think they could give me a quote online...
Think it was because of my age - 19 and that i have 0 no claims and the engine of the car. But 1900 fron tesco isn't too bad fully comp or 1600 tptf? think it was £170 a month or so.
Clone,
Try Elephant, thats who my PD130 is insured with and I also have a KA postcode so your quote might be better with them also.
At the time I had 0NCB, Two fault claims and an SP30 and that was £1200 Fully Comp - I was 22 at the time.
I do see what you are saying about the no claims etc but it's an extra £900 i could afford it i guess but would prefer not to lol if you know what i mean. I didn't know it was illegal though please tell me more. I take it you mean insuring under parents name then you (me) doing most of the driving? Would the insurance still be valid?

Christ, I'll be 29 in two weeks, don't know if I can remember back 7 yearsI see. It's £900 more to go on my name... Do you mind if i ask what kinda quotes you get a 22 with 0 no claims and on what car? Just to see what i would be looking at if i stayed on my parents name.
Agree, good way of doing things and totally legal. Adding my GF/wife as named driver saved me a fair amountNothing wrong with having your parents as named drivers to lower premiums though.![]()
