what mods you got smoki333

Be honest is it really worth spending £200 and the effort on a k03s or shall i just save up for a gt2x
 
Thats upto you at the end of the day mate, only reason im not going gt2x now is the fact of the fitting cost plus mapping. If i could fit it myself i proberly would. Lokking at about the £1500 mark and im not prepared to pay that on top of all the money i have spent so far. So water/meth and a good possibility of a jabba map to see the best from my k03s setup.

I feel ive had to do a fair bit of setting stg2 up myself adding timing etc... to get the results i did but that might not be pure fact, but somthing certinatly wasnt right on the day of the JKM RR day i went to in the summer.

Jay has basicly the same as me but with differant branded mods.

cheers benny just want abit more top end as you no the k03 tails off very early so looking at other options, would like to go down the k03s route if its going pull alot better up the rev range
 
Depends how much you want to spend really, I didnt take much notice but after the RR day saturday apprently there was a huge differance between my k03s setup and dan cupra R`s setup when we both blasted down the bypass. Only thing he doesnt have is the DP/sports cat.
 
Cheers for posting that jay, Although they are pretty differant your also getting a slight dip in power at around the 3000rpm stg then picking back up, im not sure if its somthing to really worry about or not. At the moment im putting mine down to the fact ive cranked my WG a fair bit as it didnt show that drop before, and cranking the WG hence that bit more boost could make the ECU have a wobbly then pick back up. I wouldnt mind sombody elses opinion on that.

Side by side i reckon they would be pretty much on par.

Off topic here, Jay do you get much scubbage with how low your car is as thats about the height i would like mine.

Yea i noticed the little dip too, but not noticeable when driving.

No scrubbage at all mate with the ride height, its at that height that if the front splitter scraps i know im pretty close e.g going over speed humps, as you saw the front was close on the rollers

4up not much probs, only if i hit a really bad pot hole but i tend to dodge everything lol:cartman:

you havent got a dyno run when you was on your old ko3 turbo have you benny just to compare

I have one with just the remap with no mods, or i have one with all mods without the k03s which one would you prefere? Although the k03 with mods is estimated flywheel power 224bhp which i think is a little OTT.

Have you been in a k03s ibiza before? if not see if you can.
I personally think a well setup k03s ibiza is quick enough for the road but then there is always the need for more power, i sometimes struggle to get the power down with k03s 230bhp, coilovers and Pirelli's in the dry, wet conditions even damp and your just spinning.
So if i went BT, i'd probably look into getting a LSD.

Is that speed, as a ko3s will pull 120+ so easy and will touch 140 maybe even more obviously on a track ;)

with all mods bar k03s please mate

when i say top end i mean my ko3 runs out off puff around 4k ish so just wanted a turbo you can still feel pulling upto about 6 k really, not into top speed runs dont want to lose my licence ;)
 
Give me 20mins mate and ill geti it up,

Just a had a quick look at some 115 logs and the k03s starts to tail off requsted boost around the 5.5k mark.

by the look of it mine tails off at 4.6k mark got logs below

It tails off at 4.6k but it tails off alot more quickly than k03s heres my logs off 115 to compare. And my graph from storm almost a year ago:wtf:

your still hitting a good boost at 6k where mine drops to 1240 at the same rpm thats a big difference, but mines also been set up by a donut i.e me :whistle:
 
Ive never really had the boost 'set up' just had the correct cooling mods etc to be able to run HB9. All ive done is play with th WG and added some timing. but obviously while monitoring to logs.
