I'll be careful what i say about custom code but my experience is as follows i bought a lc with all the stage 2 mod's on and cc so i thought that it was as good as it gets was running 22 psi which is quite a lot for a k03s so went to awesome gti and got a beta version of apr stage 2 and the difference was like night and day and running 17 psi so you can understand why i'm not very impressed with cc it's all a bit slap dash for me to much boost imho.

I'll take on board what you're saying, and can understand it as well...once bitten, twice shy an all that.

Playing advocate, it really does depend on how you want the map to be, as they are fairly manipulable (is that a word  )

It's between that & a Jabba map, so just have to keep open mind, and keep reading...

I've always wondered what "smooth through the range" actually means, mine seems to pull like a train (especially today with 3 degrees c!) right the way to the red line. Is that smooth?

it often means they were brainwashed.... ie 'this is smooth' - repeat after me.

so would you say that its likely to f**k th car up running it at 22 psi?
coz im not bein funny but 22psi sounds faster than 17.
quite honestly know very little. (as if you couldnt tell)

All joking and indoctrine aside ill report back the difference between generic smooth and custom smooth when I get mine changed from Revo to Jabba!

cheers johnboy.
look forward to hearing what you think as i can get a generic one done for 200 squid, rollin roaded both sides to see gains.
where as the likes of jabba want a teeny weeny bit more.

I had an APR stage 1 remap. Bloody ace, good torque curve, and loads more performance. I would say its essential to get at least a new filter element (cotton one) with the remap so it doesnt feel too strangled.

Speak to Jim (if hes still there) at Awesome GTI in Warrington. There not much he doesnt know about this.

had my lc jabba'd... pulls like a train, my brothers TT225 could only just keep up the other day (4WD heavier car), as for the guy in the type R he got a nasty shock when he couldn't match us:cartman:

Guys, just bought my self a cupra this month and already feel the urge for more power. I'm thinking of a remap for next payday. Something that doesn't kill the suprisingingly good fuel economy and still pulls throughout the revs all the way to the red line. Can't decide between the CC route or Jabba. Did you get a generic or custom map done at jabba boris? Both have good feedback or is there anyone else you guys can suggest. I'm in the midlands.

cheers paul. i've got a standard 180 cupra with a green cotton panel filter and 007p valve. what sort of power and torque do you reckon i can get after a remap? Does your mates remap feel smooth or do the tyres just keep on spinning?

What made you go for the amd map on your own car?

there was a lad there that also had the 180 an i think he pulled over 200 bhp an 240 torques, i got my car down in london an thats where amd are an heard good off them, think im getting my stage 2 map from them 2. where in midlands are you from? give will at p torque a message to see what he can offer. my remap is good if you rag it then spin but if control the acelerator then its all good but i put some goodyear f1s on an thats helped a lot. lots of companys which will map your car, ask people with the 180 what they got out there an who mapped it an will see.

mine was a generic stage one from jabba... quoted 206 - 212bhp, i'd just had it serviced and then added a pipercross filter for the Rolling Road day at AmD... kicked out 222.3 bhp and 271 torques, done a few bits since then, next on the cards will be exhaust and poss fmic followed by jabba stage 2[B)]
