Being bored on a Friday night i thought maybe it was about time i pulled my finger out and shoved some pics on here...

Following my beloved MK2 golf dying on her arse,the multi coloured tractor was bought as a Christmas pressie in Dec 03 from the local auctions with 49k on her,service history and even came with that rare thing to go wrong,naffed window regulator,all for the princely sum of £2300,pretty cheap at the time it seems...this is how she was then complete with red badges,pink n blue stickers,orange indicators etc,Pedro obviously being a fan of colour co ordination...not!!! plus point being a retro scn sticker on the back window!

She was in pretty good nick but as with them all, the obligatory panel fade got the better of her and off she went for a full respray back in '06,sods law the minute you do that everyone scuffs your bumpers etc post spray pic.....

loitering around on SCN as an infrequent guest for years i then took the plunge and
joined up properly,at which point my fate was sealed!! as someone kindly trashed my nearside headlight, i went with a set of angel eyes with hid's installed from gregclarks on here,seem to be an acquired taste and they did take a while to grow on me

so after muchos reading on here,i decided it was time to smarten her up a bit,just try and streamline things a little.Smoked side repeaters and beesting aerial being the first port of call.

Did attempt to spray the GTI badge on the back black but screwed it up and binned it,mission aborted!! The ronals were starting to look seriously poor from lacquer peel and some kerbing etc etc,first thing first though i got hold of a set of coilies(TA Technix,£167 delivered,bargain!) from ebay germany and a Mk3 Cupra exhaust,cat back.Many thanks to Damo for the latter! A massive list of parts was got from GSF and all was stashed in the garage until more money was acquired to get it all fitted etc.So,off she went in April,exhaust and coilies on.....plus a damn good clean! sunny pics wouldn't upload!!

As is sod's law,got her back for the weekend and the pedal box went, but was expecting it and was on the massive list of stuff for the garage to check/sort! So finally got her back nearly 2wks later,new pedal box in and major service done!

Next up,black calipers,didn't want to go red as didn't want to look like i was pirating the valver look!

Next thing on the evergrowing list,those damn rims!! before n after......not the best pics pb playing silly buggers and not uploading most of the gooduns!

after complete with a full new set of toyo proxes 4's...

well chuffed with them,£370 including rubber,job done!! on the car........

still in need of spacers however,thanks to Mig for his help on getting a set of delta mics and a BIG eternally grateful thankyou to Karl for fitting them for me at the SCN vs MKIV's day!

Few little other tarting up bits n pieces,pressed plates and plain surrounds(no decent Seat ones in stock anywhere!) from Dubmeister,yes they're the legal ones!!!!

Cupra Sport mats for the bargain price of £2.50,good ole fleabay!

Then i managed to get my hands on 2 sets of plate surrounds,as far as i know these are the only 2 sets kicking about,not what you know,so off came the plain ones.....

Think that's pretty much it,will get some clean pics up at some point when i can be arsed to clean her properly! It's all been cosmetic as to be honest not much point in tweaking her where i live,although i will do the drilled airbox and panel filter etc at some point. Currently trying to tart up the engine bay but is proving a mammoth cleaning task to start with after a restraining clip popped a few months back and sprayed crap everywhere,argh!!

Thanks Dave....originally she went in with a view to trying to match up the panels i wanted it the more minty colour out of the 2 shades it was carrying at the time,the fade had made it look sort of limey coloured,bad description i know but that's the best i can do.

I'm not sure where he got the code from but i had a touch up stick in the car that was the shade i wanted so i'm guessing he used that!

Thanks Copper,i didn't want to go overboard with anything just to tidy her up really and to get rid of the multicolour option,did want to go with black badges etc so was basically green,oops sorry yellow to be correct and black with white rims but i think she looks alright with the touch of red thrown in on the gti badge and plate surrounds.

I know what you mean. It's always difficult to judge from photos, but yours looks the same colour as the 'faded' parts on mine that I like - and nothing like some of the stronger original kiwi. I think I'm going to have to get a paint specialist to colour match exactly.

Always liked yours though.

Yep,20mm spacers....cheap as chips so even better! Gotta agree with the rim colour thing,think they set one another off nicely,but maybe i'm biased!

Cheers Crezz,tbh,kiwi wasn't an intentional buy,neither was the biza really,my mk2 golf gti was looking the worse for wear and just went down the auctions to be nosey,saw her,knew it was VAG stock, fell in love with her and the rest as they say is history. Was looking for another golf really but glad i didn't get one really The better choice for many reasons!!!
