rear 3"x6" oval (i think)

front are 6.5" or 17cm.
dont forget for the front you will have to buy new speaker pods.

also think about putting an amp in the system. (look at the guide in my sig)

lol, yep thee are, i uprated mine for some JBL GTO's as standard are real bad quality.

nope, they wont fit i dont think. best just getting a stealth shelf and hiding some 6x9s

I got JBL GTO's as well! Made a bit of a difference but its still not great.

Not bad for the price.

I put some Pioneer components in the front, they're great!

I found that the standard headunit is a bit pance with the bass up loud so i run the rear speakers now off an amp..

Sorry to re spark an old thread. I've been doing some searching and I am desperate to change my speakers, I've got some from my old mk2, they measure about 16.5 cm and thats the outer bracket to the outer bracket, I'm not really sure what adaptors i need if anyone could help?

you need 6 1/2 inch or 16.5cm speakers.

you will also need to buy a speaker pod as OEM ones cant be reused

where do you get a speaker pod from? im missing my clean crisp sounds i had in my mk2 golf, its been 2 years

I don't like 6x9 because I think they a bit chavy lol I'm going to start putting a new sound system in in a feu weeks got all the bits its good to go
