Car has been crashed. Gutted. Own fault, misjudged conditions and going too fast.
Can't describe how upset I am about it but hey... The first and only year with it has flown by.
Will add pics tomorrow

As already said mate im gutted for you. Was one of my favourite mk4's. On the bright side at least "crashing was comfy" lol. Think the next one will be better though, and cant wait to see it.

It's taught me a valuable lesson - I'm keeping positive even though I loved that car to bits.
Probably be another Ibiza, I'm looking to salvage bits I can, it'll be brought here in the morning. Everything big is declared.. but even the standard stuff doesn't look overly standard (other than susp) .. but I'll say that it's Cupra suspension or something ha. Just gotta check that it's all alright before another car gets it.
Looking to fulfil my dream of a yellow beeza though.

Er, there was.. But the recovery guy seemed to want to get home, gave it no care whatsoever.
The killer is the fact the sill is badly warped. (Or maybe just seemed it in my state of shock?) Whole of the drivers side rear quarter needs replacing, drivers side door is fooked, scratched all along, creased along the bottom, bonnet would need a respray. Front doesn't look too bad, but with the payout after excess (1500 - just under a month til I was lowering it too.. Pissed off about that!!) I'm only gonna be looking at 4k or so.
it takes alot to write them off, myn was 6month old 08 when it was wrote off, myn needed a new shell and it was only becuase i didnt want the car back that it was decided to write it off, there was only 150 diffrence between a new one and repairs (repairs cheaper) but i argued and had it wrote off.
The question is would you want to have it back after it had been in a serious accident?

It'll take like £4k's worth, if not more to even think about writing it off....
Hope it all gets sorted anyway. It certainly shakes you up after you have a prang and it'll be weird driving again for a start - but it'll all come back and like you say, live and learn....
