First i cleaned where i was gonna fit them too, put them on dry to see where i need to screw the back caps to. Screwed the back caps in place, then put some tigerseal on the clips and stuck it in place. Screwed the front to the inner arch.

I then just put tigerseal on the top of the sideskirt and put the bricks in place to hold it :)

time taken: about an hour each side.

Just wanted to ask if you passed MOT with air intake in that position?

Had mine similar to that and failed because it wasn't secure enough!

Nice car by the way!

Quick update- car is in winter mode atm with the original steelies on. Am waiting till at least end of january to put my wheels back on. Hopefully by then will have some pressed plates and will have enough money to get the little tiny dents out :D

Pedal box broken again, need new clutch cable. Wheels back on though. Waiting for my pressed DE plates to arrive. :D

reminds me when i colour coded the old xr2 - just wonder how it would look with the skirts/splitters/pillars and mirrors gloss blacked too, normally i'd pass but on a clean black one like that i reckon would work

mmmm job to say

btw the grille shells cost so little be cheaper to replace it mind you need paint done then but good excuse to have all the bits done at once then :)

Yeah i am going to buy the one off of dinky dave once i have the cash.

Have a week off next week list of things to do:

Secure rear number plate surround securely
Get rid of condensation in side repeaters
Clean engine bay
Polish up rocker cover
New cold air feed (my one has brokerredd)
Camber/tracking done to stop me from wearing the tyres anymore
a good clean inside and out
a nice wax
new clutch cable
clean throttle body

Gonna be a good week, just hope the weather holds up.

I have a similar list when it comes to the cleaning bit etc. Plus Im going to paint my rocker cover.

You said about the cold air feed, I was thinking of attaching a bit of alloy/silcone hose to the airbox then a cold air feed to that pipe. A few measurements etc to take first.

Sounds like a good idea. post pics when you do it :D

Why are they so darn expensive?! Quoted roughly £630.00 for a set of Borbets with tyres. They are frikken hot though. Can't even find a set on e-bay. those are the 7.5 x 16 rims right?

Yeah 7.5'sx16's i will be selling them when i get my cupra and getting myself some 9" (if i can source them)

I got these from ebay for £350 with tyres but the tyres were mahoosive. They are lovely wheels.
