Went in for its service today, he put 2 new clamps and loads of paste on the exhaust joints. He was unsure about the manifold though, thinks its only a little blow (but sounds worse than it really is), he also found a pin hole size blow on one of the welds on the middle box. Apart from that its sounding better again and strangely slightly louder
I got a really loud pop from it just before sounded sweet.
Got my new speakers through today and got them fitted, same as the ones I had before but slightly older version, the cone colour is the only difference.
Im going to ease the volume up slowly this time and Ive also got my amp set correctly now too
Not much of an update really, got the car back to 'normal' mode, It all went back in fine except the parcel shelf supports sit too close so the shelf wont go down by itself I also sorted the new air feed pipe
Some snow pics
Been having some fun in the snow too
I think Ive decided, Im going to keep this untill june, when I get my 1years NCB, sell this and buy something with more POWAHHHH! Looking at what I can insure, maybe a mk4 130diesel or might go non-vag and get a MR2
As I'm planning on getting a new car come summer, not much else is going to be done with this one, certanly not lowering etc. As I can put the car back to fairly standard, it will be easier to sell
Your just right. It's very easy to get carried away and then be left with something that you have to undo to sell.
Im scalling back on my mods too, putting it back to the way it was before the accident and then stopping. I have my eye on one of these new facelifted leons!
