Cupra 180 suspension upgrade

Alrite lads, bit of a dilema here, im looking to upgrade my Cupra's supension as im hating the massive gap between the tyre and arch, and wondered what would be the best set up e.t.c that wouldnt cost the earth, but tighten up the handling and look good aswell.

The roads around my way aren't the best and i drive aprroximately 40 miles round trip to work and back each day, which is all motorway and A-Roads, and have the lads in the back to football a few times a week so was wondering about clearance and whether i would need the arches rolled in order to drop about 40-60mm over the standard 17's.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Coilovers are what you want. Depending on your budget.

I'm in the middle of fitting V-Maxx coilovers to my cupra clicky clicky or clicky.

Just depends what your budget is realy mate.

I was thinkin around the 350 mark, is it an absolute necessaty to have uprated droplinks or ARB's??

Do you think that the Cupra rides better on coliovers than on the std setup?

Some say yes ans some say no.

For ~£350 I'd go for either the AP ones from awsome or the V-Maxx ones from DPM but shorter droplinks are recommended on the V-Maxx ones.

Screwed my KW V'1s to the limit at the front with standard droplinks, got no knocking what so ever.

If you wanted to uprate the backend I'd suggest a Rear ARB that what "made" the BIG difference for me over all.

If you put shorter links on with a coilover that isn't designed for shorter one's, you can bend the mount on the strut... http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=188473

The APs as far as I know do not require shorter links and are a good kit for the monies... a few people have them now!

I think your right about the AP coilovers. V-Maxx ones do require shorter droplinks.

Well the rears are already on and I have left the adjuster cups in for now and I'll be doing the fronts tomorrow and leaving the helper springs in.
Just gona see how it looks first as I prob wonte be going as low as you due to bad roads where I live and speed bumps when I visit the family
