Something loose in the suspension.

i did try it myself first but i didnt feel comfortable taking the hub off etc so i went for the garage option, £200 fitted by a garage in wokingham with a Stock hatch race team so i figured they would know how to set em up etc.


But no, anyway i went out for a look at the hub fitting and its a good job i did cause i just spent £25 on one of the best mods you can do to a car.
Removed the screw and sealed the hole and had the tyre pumped up from 12psi to 32 again

This is just getting me down

tbh if i go for this weitec kit you might get me knocking on your door with a crate of beer, a spanner and a smile.

The suspension just needs freed off from the hub, these don't actually need removed

best to use a hub splitter, then pull the strut from the hub... drivers side a pain, not much room there.

may need to undo arb links to get more room for levearage.

passenger side okay.

what tools you after james? I'm at my parents atm but I'm back on sunday, if I've got anything you after feel free to borrow it! I dont have the proper impact 17 mil jobbies but I do have a spark plug socket and lots of other bits and bobs

Large spark plug socket with rubber removed, 7mm allen key (long arm if possible) shifter or spanner to fit spark plug socket flats.

because they took it off the oem shocks, didnt need them on the coilies, panicked dint know what to do with them so shoved them in there.....

unbelievable really, how much they charge you for that!!!

i have limited tool kit but i have a spark plug socket thats 17mm but it is round all the way up. who designed that!!!!

ha ha, o dear, why not take a trip to a local tyre fitter and get the to shock the nuts loose, then drive steady home....... job done, they will be fine as long as you go careful and dont go far

take it back to em and get them to shock it back on.....

or like you say go b&q... id buy a spark plug socket and allen key, easier than the spanners

i live in a flat lol, so i got nowhere to work on my car. i long for the day i can get myself a garage. it could have a 1 bed caravan for a house as long as its my garage.

can get a battery powered one, i got a rolson job.... 69.99 and it changed 4 struts, all bolts on 1 battery.
