fitted the kit for the leon with 21" and 19" blades a few weeks ago and they look great, but passenger side blade sits on the plastic surround at the bottom of the windscreen and needs adjusting

now am i correct in saying i need a lot of wd40 to get it to move as it didn't last time, and that its best to have the arm in the vertical position to relevie tension when removing to move on the spindal?

mine came off a couple of week ago with plenty of wd40 and wiggling in both horizontal and vertical was a bit of a pain tbh but came off eventualy

yeah pretty much what i thought, i have tried to move it before but it didn't move and there is nothing to use to lever against it without breaking something lol

got other stuff to do when doing my car tomorrow like clean the interior and such for the national meet, so will apply plenty of wd40 then and let it soak in a bit

Why did you not just an 18" blade or have you got the genuine golf aeros?

i bought the kit for the leon so the size was as stated, and i think that 18inch would have still been the same looking at the size of the blade on there atm

Lots of wiggling, lots of patience and generous dose of WD40 did it for me. Be careful though as its not unknown for the spindle to snap, then its a world of pain replacing that baby (from what I've read elsewhere on here).

all done and much easier than expected :)

used a but of wood and screwdrive for vertical leverage, and i gave it a wiggle and it just popped off after wd 40 had been used :)
