Hey Aimez,

Just spent a while reading through you're thread, I didn't realise how much you've done now. You're car really is stealth :) I agree with some of the other comments about the car needing lowered a bit. I lowered mine 60mm and i'm really happy with the look of it. Ride quality has changed, i'm now a pothole/manhole dodger!:cartman:

good work though chick :D

I'm not alone, thank god for that... before we start talking about Becks fantasies...

Car needs lowering, Aimez buy some coilovers and i'm sure I can help you maintain them, its fairly easy! Choose desired ride height, grease up to buggary and enjoy! :)

Cheers Becks! I am already a man hole pot hole dodger after the £180 bill of a bent alloy and flat tyre after hitting one grrr!
As said numerous times I have not put coilovers on as cannot fit them myself so would not be able to strip them and maintain them 12 times a year. Where do you get time for that especially in Winter?! I was the only car not lowered I think at the national meet, but was glad as was not a mud plough! If someone could show me how to look after them I'd do it.

Hey Aimee,

The car looked very very good on Saturday. Had a look at the Milltek and it looked very good. You glad that you have it now?
Almost talked Iain into getting one too ;)

Oh dear it all goes downhill! Yes well I felt like a loser at the Oxford services convoy to the national meet the only one with a car not lowered. But seeing a certain soemone's splitter break off in teh field I was kinda glad! Will go back to investigating I think watch this space.
I got my pressed plates on today, a tip do not use Halfords thin number plate fixers with pressed plates they do not work!

I was parked beside your car for a while at the national and your car looks really good. Love the shine that it had and I loved the vrs wheels. They look perfect on the mk4. I liked the black on black aswell, well there was a couple of cars at the national that were black with black wheels.

After seeing your car it makes me so tempted to get a black mk4 now.

Such a shame your car got so muddy on the way in, but looked good I nosed when we were parked together! I moved 3 times cos the random non Seats ruined the line up and then I left to use the jet wash! Black is as hard to keep clean as white I imagine!
By the way nice to have quite camping neighbours next to Tim and I I was an old person and liked my sleep in our quiet area!;)

The car getting muddy on the way in was sort of my own fault. Never realised it was that bad, but after a 6 hour journey I just wanted to get in, tent up n have a lie down. I was the same, I moved a couple of times on the stand aswell. White is just like black, difficult to keep clean. But I just try and keep it waxed/polished which makes it easier.

Yep it was nice to have a quiet camping neighbours next to Tash (my other half) and I. I was glad of that on the saturday night because I had a killer migraine on the saturday night and really didnt feel too good. Sorry I never spoke to you btw.

Hi Aimez car looks very nice.....as Becks said I don't know anyone who messes about with there coilovers every month.

I've had them on 3 cars now and apart from cleaning and greasing them every 6 months [or when I fit new brakes] they don't really need looking after :)

Well mine havent..

Would you think the manufactureres give basic maintenance advice? I wouldn't know where to grease them. To clean and grease what would I need to do take the wheels of and wind them back up, how do you clean them?
Sorry for the questions just don't really want to ruin suspension that will cost hundreds of pounds!

Do people think they need to be actaully dismantled again, seems OTT when I do nothing to the standard cheaper suspension!?
