looked into these wot box things and it seems they do a good job at making clutches and gearboxs go bang or fail! they do sound awesome i want one myself but dont want to have to put a new clutch or gearbox in my car every month!

i think ill sit back and let you guys be my lab rats, we have one car down already!

id been leaning more towards a spec failure as the cause and not the wot box phil

Yeah me too, from what ive read about SPEC they dont tend to stand up well to abuse.

yes not good for car...with OEM peripherials.

i have the wot box too. but is use it next year with good rods und pistons.

but the turbo...

Miles offf.......You have no idea how wrong the instruction are for when it comes to joining the wirers up inside the car...Then engine bits kinda easyish lol

So is it not good to use on the standard clutch etc then..??

The instructions are fine, maybe a little trial and error.

Used mine all the time on track this weekend and it was awesome, felt better shifting than doing it normally at 6500+.

Although i think 175ms is a little too quick for constant track usage as you have to make sure your quic enough on each change with no margin for error.

so how does it actually work? I mean ive read the site but from what your saying it sounds different to what i imagine...

does the box cut the ignition for a pre set period of time for the change, or is the ignition cut related to the depression of the clutch and then the release of the clutch, ie: depress the clutch and you have 0.5 seconds to change gear, any longer and youll crunch gears, or is it a case of depress the clutch and the ignition is cut until you bring it back up?

Am i right in thinking from your quote that, if you dont change gear in time with what the box is set at you might as well be ragging it into gear at 4/5k rpm?

Sounds like an interesting product and might be interested in getting one, but if theres chance i could cause serious damage then i may give it a miss
