i am going to view a 2003 red leon cupra wid full seat service history has 69k on it its £4600 do you think that is a fair price ? and is there anything a should look out for ?
does it still pull and go allright ? because a normally wouldent buy a car with that many miles but seems rele good just had a cambelt done aswell the lad who owns it works for seat.
The guy that sold mine worked for seat too! Yeah the car is fine except for a problem with the exhaust which he is fixing on Friday, free of charge. Pulls like a train lol
Get a cupra, mine smokes Type R all day long i got a 03 cupra with 67k on it fsh and that still pulls like a train too lol and that cost me £5700 just be careful a lot of that has had the **** kicked out of them but engines can cope just service them regularly
yeah well it got a full seat history wid it a mean i have just sold a clio 172 cup . and that was quick little car probs quicker than type r and a cupra but a needed a bigger car so .
Night and day difference in favour of the Seat in my opinion. Yes I know the CTR handles really well and would leave the LC for dead on a track, but it's no contest for me. I was thinking of a change a while back and took a 54 plate CTR for a test drive....handled brilliantly but the complete lack of torque and having to thrash it to the readline to make progress was just tiring after half an hour let alone longer.
Got back in my 04 LC for the drive home and instantly realised I'd made the right choice!! And with the extra torque from a remap makes it an even better decision for me!
Main thing is buy the one you personally prefer, but I think the seat will do you well!
Edit: my Lc is on 70k and has been remapped since 38k pulls strong and runs better than when it was new so don't worry about the mileage as long as the history is good
went to see the car today not gona get it. i has a very bad misfire and there had been water in the footwell and boot but has been seeled up and dryed out .i like them to drive a would have one if a can find a decent one how much would a pay for a cupra r with less than 55k on.
Prices seem to have crept up over the past 9 months or so,
I was looking for a long time, missed a few and ended up with a mint 52 plate LC.
Paid 4 and a half for it. But I was sure it was the right car!
