Bill... That's twice someones alluded to Densos f&@king up you're engine. Care to ellaborate? I've heard many people rave about Denso plugs (on other cars fair enough)? Would be good to know specifics in case I opt for them in the future?
NGK's at my local parts shop, £7.50 eachgood price
Also what does a better flame mean? You using flame plugs now, i thought better plugs produced a better spark my self.
A decent spark will mean a better flame in the combustion chamber.
As said in previous post, not flame plug at all! When the spark ignites the fuel, there is a flame. As a mechanic then you should know this is the Bang in Suck, Squeeze, BANG, Blow.
I did also say buy the NGK plug, which is, as you know the same as the OEM ones. I wasn't saying use cheaper plugs like Champion or ECP cheap version!
Another thing, I wasn't comparing a road car to a F1 car, just giving an example of why a more quality plug should be used.
Sorry if I wasn't more clear.
any way why we going down this road.
It isnt really much of a flame is it lol its an explosion in the combustion chamber, saying a flame people will get the wrong idea of it, its more like if yuo was to blow up a gas canister, if you was to light the ammount of fuel injected with a lighter nothing would happen really, but once its compressed etc the fuel is burnt in more of en explosion than a flame, any way why we going down this road.
Once again Shaunyboy, petrol or diesel, it makes little difference. The fuel/air mixture does not explode. But you're correct in one respect. I'll not be reading any more of your posts.

NGK were on the ball and advised sensible heat range plugs and confirmed they would be ok.
