no, i mean that today you have removed the clocks from your car and replaced them with a different set. its irrellavent that they have been replaced in the past. as long as you put the same clocks back in that you took out then no issues should have arose.

There is no reason why it won't work, unless bending the pins before as now damaged the clocks possibly?

God knows. Gonna see if i can get a mate to plug his laptop into it and see if its throwing up any more codes. I'm obviously now expecting an airbag one, and this immobiliser?

Same clocks and all, really frustrating

I'm really puzzled as to why you're unable to lock or unlock the car doors manually. This has nothing at all to do with the immobiliser or remote central locking. I agree that if things are screwy that you won't be able to start the car or unlock the doors with the remote, but if you can't put a key in the lock, turn it, and the car unlocks then you've got a real problem.

I know, tell me about it

The remote key works on the buttons, but not manually. Just taken it out again double checked all connections, still no change

you will need to recode the immo to keys it is a rolling code unplug for more than 10 mins xxxx ok

I know on my audi when i did my reset I disconnected both terminals and joined them together for 30 mins and it worked. Had probs with starting, central locking and immbo and it cured it.

That didn't work either, just phoned seat up, and they want £46 to recode the keys and clocks, and then i've gotta pay to get the car there too [:@]

All i did was take out the clocks to see if i could change the bulbs. Thought it was too much hassle

just removed them and looked or took bits apart a bit ? if so maybe something loose or not sitting right inside possibly ?

was gonna say AA for delivery ;) but lee beat me to it :)

Lol, what a weird turn of events. Got my mate to come round just now and plug his laptop into the car, and it threw up so many codes it was untrue. Without even deleting any codes, just scanning, the immobiliser light stopped flashing, and the car started! He deleted the codes, only thing that is wrong now is the airbag light is on. Vag com said 2001-2002 cars had a risk of damage to the airbag if scanned, would you like to continue? Just clicked no cos didn't wanna disrupt anything.

How can i get this kight switched off safely?

do the following
15-airbag
02-intergate fault
look through faults
05-erase faults
recheck faults to see if erased by going back to -02 intergate fault
