Just back from Awesome, John (CupraMVR), has been fitting the new front wishbone bushes for me....turns out the old ones were a bit worse for wear!!

So these have been replaced with Cupra bushes:

The others have been polybushed:

Unfortunately John also spotted a hose had been rubbing on my driveshaft, I think it's due to the piping on my FMIC pushing it back further. John tied it back for me, but I'll probably replace the hose and sort the piping issue out when the weather improves.

Its one of the pipes between the turbo and FMIC, one of the original hoses. From the way my FMIC hosing is, it looks like it has pushed the hose back against the driveshaft.
I know John took the wishbone arms off to get to the bushes but beyond that I'm not sure mate, I know it was up on the ramps for a while.

Same happend to me first time i fitted my fmic got it all on took the car out kept hearing a loud sucking noise thought it might just be how it sounds then went on a drive then into limp mode and hardlt made it home :(

what i did was push the pipe a little further back when i joined the forge pipework to it

Not had chance to drive it properly yet, was treating it with a velvet glove due to the weather, steering felt a bit more positive even doing that though...it's dead frustrating with this weather, I jsut want good conditions so I can warm it up and go have some fun somewhere cos it's beginning to be really fun to drive. Absolutely dominated an Edition 30 Golf GTI the other on a dual carriageway!

No need to drop the subframe when replacing the wishbone rear bush. The consoles are bolted to the subframe and wishbone. You only need the drop the subframe if your are replacing the ARB

You can tell the new poly bushes LOOK at the shine on them haha.

it was a bit hard to test drive yours aswell Will having the extra power now. soon as the boost comes in it was spinning. so didnt go far. but the steering felt alot better.

just need get the pipe sorted and shorten that intercooler pipe work

Yeah, good eyes spotting that mate, may well have saved me a recovery-truck-ride-home. The pipes may even push into the joins a bit more to bring that other one back where it should be. Not going to be driving it too much til after christmas now, so will just take it steady. And yep, that remap has made a world of difference, its on practically brand new toyos and it doesn't have a problem spinning them even in the dry lol
