Now just have to wait for my serial cable to arrive!
Was almost on the point of spending £30 or so on a AutoWindow module, hopefully I won't need to bother now!

The same, but has to be a good quality cable...

Cables from THIS eBay seller (marvin123) are confirmed to work with both VAG-Com and VDS Pro.

Someone confirmed this, I remember reading somewhere else.

But I do not know which address corresponds to which windows ...
Just try one by one... Should be easy

For me it became obvious that : one address = front, another = rear
and one for the sunroof (whether you have it or not...)

Then yours was programmed. It really doesn't do it by standard.
And no, it's NOT in the owner's manual.

That's true. And indeed documented in the manual.

But not with the remote control buttons ...
( that's what we mean with 'fob' )

This really is a "Must Do! Mod" when you have your car delocked Like me.

I was really missing the comfort functionality of my doorlock last summer.

na hold the button an the windows come down while i hlod it. press lock and they fully close. read it somewhere hence knowing bout it, sure it was the manual??

Awesome stuff was suprised they didnt automatically have the feature enabled, i have access to VAS so should imagine i can do it there.

I had to change the port in VDS options to com4 even though my laptop only has 1 port lol.

I used the boot disc thats on this thread that was fixed to have a baud rate of 9960.

There is a guy on TDIclub who is going to try crack it........not sure if he is all talk.....but i'll keep checking his progress.
