I decided to go for the KVW100 for 25 quid which does the same thing and no faffing with ECU coding/cables/DOS etc.

Still waiting for delivery of mine, but is quite obviously the easier option.

Nope, we tried it...... Unique code the 1st time you use it is transferred into the cars ECU.

those codes are for the leon, they might work but i doubt it, you need a convenience module for this to be possible....

yes that is a mk3 ibiza cupra but i'v sold that now and have a LCR ant changed the pic yet.

no, the usb drivers will not run in dos mode which is required to do this

hi guys,

well tried this this morning....

and no good

get in to VDC pro etc etc but can't get any comms with the 46 module!!

tried all com ports but only 1 on my lappy and even slowed the baud rate right down and put it up just can't get any communications

Any ideas?

u def booted into dos mode? tested the cable in windows? can u get access to any module or just 46?

yeah botted with your CD in to DOS...

Cable works in Vag.com in Vista no probs at all..

cant get any access at all, tried the different com options in vds....and speeds just won't communicate

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but I've just tried this with a serial cable and vds and it won't connect. The serial cable works perfectly with vagcom. any ideas?
