Have a good look at them, there is a slot to wedge them out. strat from here and prise them off gently.

Ive just painted mine, went for gloss black though. Just thought the silver wouldnt go with my car. Will post some pics when its all back together tomorrow.

Do the door strips just pull off? Any guidance / advive on removing the bits you took off?

Thanks

mike

On the speaker covers theres a small slot use a flat screwdriver in there, careful not to press too hard and damage the door card.

On the door strips i found it best to start from the end towards the front of the door, theres more of it exposed there. Again i used a flat screwdriver, just use it carefully :)

Hope this helps.

Forgot about this thread.
Finished it months ago. Happy with the finish. 2 Coats of Primer, and 3 of Paint. No laquer!!

It easy to break the clips? Mines getting flocked I think :)

I think you would struggle to break the clips. Start at the end towards the rear of the car, on the bottom side, and prise it out with a small flat screwdriver. Work your way along, you will be able to get your fingers under and just pull it off after the first couple. I think there is 5 or 6 clips.

reckon ill give this a go tomorrow too, really makes the interior stand out, its pretty bland all in black

I got my tins from Halfords.

1x Halfords Brand Grey Primer
2x Halfords Brand "Vauxhall Star Silver" (Just happened to be a colour i used on previous car interior, you are not limited to this one.)

One tin of primer will do, and see how the coverage goes with the first tin of silver. I think there is a larger can availible than the ones i used, so one tin of colour could do.

I sanded the black plastic lightly, just to give it a key, then sprayed two coats of primer, 15 mins apart. Then left that for a day before spraying 3 coats of Silver. Dont make the coats to heavy, there is no need.

Hardest part is masking of the grills. I just spent an evening infront of the TV carefully tucking down the masking tape. And be carefull when pulling off the masking tape, you could lift the edge of the paint.

Doing the above, mine have remained scatched free, after what is now 9 months i think.

Good luck!

thanks for the advise i will be giving this ago soon. such a cheap mod but proberly makes one of the biggest and best improvements!

I'll post new photos at a later time when I'll do them with a different brand of carbon fiber wrap. You could also use aluminum brushed look wrap.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but has anyone cut the trims to fit to the back door as suggested previously. I want the trims on all 4 doors
