I like the standard look too, however I was trying to see if there was something "more" I could do with it, somehting just a little different but subtle at the same time.

I vote for leaving the grilles as they are, but painting those blue painted vertical "things" behind the lower grille in black.

Up to you though! [B)]

The verticals to black is definately on the cards, just need to find the time to do it.

like the photoshop, nice little touch. too much with this maybe? think i prefer your tbh.

I'm liking your idea Scott, could you do a tidier version of this??
If you can I'll do a comparison of all three.

I did see that the other day, however, I have a pre facelift with fog lights and the only other bumper I can get to fit with the fogs is the cupra bumper.
Plus I don't have the money to get it sprayed, I'd probably be looking at around £200 or more to get the bumper and have it colour coded.
I did look at it with interest as it was £80, although I can't remember if it had grills or not, I know the top grills I have would obviously fit but don't know if I'd need the bottoms again.

Yeah you would have to replace the bottom grills however i dont think they cost much. Suppose it depends if you plan to keep the car much longer, i know you were looking at an fr tdi a while ago.....

Yeah I was looking at a few fr's and spent a fair amount of time doing the maths and no matter what deal I was to get it would cost me more money per month. I also can't argue with my fuel economy at the moment, just about every tank I get over 430miles, I stand to gain nothing from changing my car. I'll keep this till it's paid off most likely!
My priorities have changed now, I have a house and all that yadda yadda to pay for. I can't justify changing my car just because I want more power...
If I was to get the facelift bumper I'd have to buy new fogs... I'm not sure why they don't fit, I'm assuming that the fogs are fitted to the car differently on the facelift.

Loving your work here! I must get a tutorial from you on how to do this stuff, I can merge photos and do other clever stuff with Photoshop but not this sort of thing.
I'll also have a word with my mate to see how much this may cost to get done next weekend.

Like the look of the bottom idea. Certainly something different.

There is a readers ride on here somewhere and the guy colour coded the fog surounds but also blackened out the bit underneath the grills. Hard to explain..will have a look for the thread :p

EDIT: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=229050

Looks good but just realized there is a lot more done than just painting it black, splitter, plastic bit at the bottom painter...etcetc

That's the only part I was thinking about, not sure on that one yet, I'll maybe just get the fog surrounds to start with and see how it looks. I'll try and get up and see my mate to get a price.
Could you ask your bodyshop shop down there for a quote?

i used the same bodyshop as scott did and me and scott are disapointed in his work so i would'nt go there tbh

Parts coming off and getting sprayed next week, my mate was too busy to do them this week.
I'll just take the fog surrounds off and hand them in, not getting the lower part of the bumper done at the moment, it's always some that could be done in the future.
