Cruised back at 80mph or more. Just was gentle & used cruise a lot. UL95 too.

And yeah, the MX5 hasn't done better than 28mpg since decat.

thats mental hearing your mpg and the performance of these new cupras is really making me want one i just think id miss having a clutch.
i can imagine the mx5 requireing a lot more concentration than the cupra does on track.

ive driven autos before i just dont like how uninvolved they are although ive not driven an auto with paddle shifters the flat shifting does appeal though.

DSG is a lot better drive than a torque converter.

Sometimes I quite enjoy (read most of the time) sticking it in D & just getting to my destination.

Try one, you'll either get it or you won't... but I'll wager it's the future.

next time i go to a dealer im definatly going to give one a go im just a bit worried i will enjoy it i think.
i think you might be right in saying its the future as it will be a way of bringing the costs down being on the road in comparison to a manual vehicle.
