The roof lining looks alright in the pics but I suppose when you're up close you'll see things that don't show up so much in the pics.

The rust problems you're having though, now that's ridiculous, you're car's far to young for that much hassle, it must've been a bad batch of steel used in the factory. You used to get it on other cars like the fords, C reg and around about F reg were really bad for it, it's a bummer though and must be really frustrating foe you.

If it's a four door then check the drainage holes in the back doors because they can get choked up and the moisture can gather and run in to the car, that's what's just happened on my Cordy.:)

Is there no other ibiza with a black roof lining that fits your car then?:D

I know it wasn't me you meant but it's just my sense of humour and lack of maturity kicks in and I can't control it:D

Couldn't you get a second hand lining?:)

Or just pop down to carpet right and glue it in lol.

Well, tbf i consider talking about your corrosion and mine having a soggy rear foot well related? I was thinking it might be due to corrosion or something but obviously not!

Sorry for jacking your thread though :)

wet foot well common problem on mk4 (I not had this one but had many others!) there are several thread out there abut it I seen a Passat with it too when I used to work in long stay airport car parks. Unless yours has rusted through the floor pan I'd not start worrying about corrosion warranty yet!

Us girls have a different view on things obviously and the other girls on the site have made their cars looks brilliant.

Never posted these I don't think, ages ago I sprayed my engine & battery cover to tidy the engine bay.

Last September I bought a plug and play Passat W8 light been fitted all that time but I have only just got round to wiring it to the headlight dimmer switch so you get the jazzy red LEDs! Will take a pic later of them when its dark.

Hi Aimez,

What type of paint and primer did you use on your engine and battery cover? Need to get on and do this myself. Bugger is I found out that as I have the facelift FR I don't have the battery cover and would have to get it mod'd to get the old (non-facelift) cover to fit as there is some wiring involved. :)

Thanks

Stu

Don't think it is possible to get it to fit the battery and fuses are totally different would cost a fortune other gave up on it. I just used halfords plastic primer with gloss black paint and then lacquer stuff the edges are peeling a bit now thou! lol

Slight update my car now has two brand new wings under corrosion warranty (see pages back for rust pics I think!) took forever as had to take it back twice for appalling blending that turned grey and orange peely and then they had the car for two week as they had no oven to heat the panel in. Then my CDs went missing form the car. I have written two letters of complaint to the dealer responsible. Customer service was not great either.

Moving on I am going to get my bonnet resprayed as the hundreds of stone chips look even worse now with the new wings and get a few other bits that annoy me sorted out too. I am also going to get my wheel done again in orange hopefully very soon.

car is looking ace aimez, changed loads in the past year!

i sprayed my headliner in the yellow peril, took so, so many coats of black paint, was worth it in the end though....just febreze it as you go or you'll be high as a kite from the fumes, fail!

orange wheels will look awesome
