DaNnY_LaD's HTA-Gt2868R Big turbo Build(Now @ AKS Tuning)

Deals Been Done had a Long chat with sammy The 2 choices are HTA gt2868 or Gt3071r both or small A/Rs

Also Have a INA T25 Log Topmount manifold,3 core Oil & Coolant Lines With AN fittings,T-bolt Clamps...Il be running Revo stage 3 so if i go HTA then it will be 550cc which alex said he would require or if i go Gt30 then 630cc and Rs4 maf Housing But i might go for a De-screen Modshack one...

I went out in a Old friends s3 71r last night and actually drove it...The nothing wrong with abit or lag as when on full chat it was ''well shall i say'' Immense...Its around 375bhp or so and thats on a Small A/r..

Also got Locktite copper washers and Nuts And might do the downpipe in 3'' v-band but im meeting craig today (who made my IHI Downpipe) to discuss it...

Johns said my Head is nearly done so thats the engine sorted plus im ordering my Millers Comp Running oil tommorrow...I Shall run the turbo on Acutator pressure and once its run in i shall do the same once its run it too as im gonna replace the clutch and flywheel....

Getting there most of the parts are here now or on there way...
 
You have to get the 2868 on the .86 housing. It's the best 28 series turbo out there imo from fitting both size housings on the same car to get a comparison.
 
If i have a mani i dont want sensible tune lol. Il want to wind my actuator out abit more with it. Anyway dont want to hijack the thread with it. Wen you reken ule be all up and runnin then?
 
Right Bit of a small update but ive just been currently purchasing Parts so far I have the following which ive paid for with sammy:

* Top mount manifold Coppers Nuts
* T25 Log Topmount manifold
* Topmount stud kit & Copper Nuts
*Genesis 550cc Injectors
* Genesis Injector Plugs
* OEM Connecting Rod bearings (tanged)
* OEM HeadBolts
* OEM 2x Oil filters
* Newish Hydraulic Followers
* Full HTA-Gt2868R Oil & Coolant Lines Kit with AN- fittings

Here at my House i have:

* Millers Comp Running in oil (10w40)
* Various 3mm,19mm,25mm & 7mm Silicone Piping
* 3'' Couplers
* 3'' alloy piper (TIP)
* 19mm Braided T-peice
* 4bar Fuel Pressure regualtor

Just Revo stage 3,HTA,Inline pump and Downpipe to purchase them im all good... Few more bits and il get sammy(INA) to ship my parts then i can start putting the engine together and mocking up my Tip and Charge pipe...

So just gotta Sell Forge actuator,Downpipe and LCR charge pipe then thats all the k04 setup gone....

Getting there...Really looking forward to this now :D

that sounds well good, i looked on website at the gtx3071 but havnt found much info on them. are you going to get a diff as well? i have a wavetrac which i think is awesome but not been on any other cars with a diff, my cars had all supporting mods just needs the big turbo now :)

is your turbo been reworked in america or is that its standard spec? what rpm should you be on full boost,

Plus He has some Epic Toys in order for the k04 Boys but thats for him to tell whens he's all good and ready...
 
do you have any pics of this manifold mate? cant belive you are going big turbo again seen you change your mind so many times with the ibiza how long will these plans stay in place lol
