Sounds like the HTA's is doing these turbo's justice by using fancy billet wheels, the new line up from garrett the gtx series uses them too, thats what im gonna go for on mine.
That turbo you've gone for should make for a nice power band Dan, will be awesome im sure.
Off the record and this came from a disgruntled Garrett distributor. The GTX line up is Garrett's answer to Borg Warner EFR line. It is nothing special and its whats been happening via forced performance for years.
If you actually priced out what the GTX costs , the FP counterpart almost always works out to be $150-200 USD cheaper.

Lee Owen @ Owen Developments offers pretty much the same service. Not sure what he charges these days but he is a very good chap to deal with.
 
I have all the hardware bar the turbo and downpipe...engines going to be built once my parts arrive then I can start building it..

Going to stick with that hta 2868r on a 63. Ar that should make around 380bhp-390bhp @ 1.8bar then tappering down to 1.65bar at the redline...currently thinking of making my setup in 3" v-band and buy the t25 adaptor plate..

But I'm abit of that yet...

I think the 84. Makes 410bhp or so but I'm Tryin find info on the spool rate on the larger housing to see if its worth it...i think the larger 84. Hotside spools 200-300rpm more and is more progressive and more topend power...

Can you not get it in a vband hotside flavour?

Just had a phone call off my mate and he's offered me a Gt3071r .63 a/r for Mates rates turbo has done 8,000miles @ 1.7bar boost ...Was on his EVO DSM...

Seriously tempted...I Can run the 550cc @ 3bar till its run in...

Had to buy my Misses her Wedding Dress...Which was more than the turbo,Was tryin to Purchase a white dress out of Primark but she wasnt haven't none of it...She Didnt see my Point on she only gonna wear it once..

Clearly you guys can see my Point....I get more use out of my turbo than her wedding dress..
