did you complain to the plank who sold you the 256mm brake setup...I would of [:@]

good work on painting them, what did you use for the calipers?

Yeah I did, all sorted now Suj!... I just used a brushing primer on those, and spray can Hammerite. :) Need to update this actually! Just haven't had much time to do so :)

Cool, gonna hammerite smooth mine, when it stops raining, I will remove old paint, then repaint ready to put on :D

Good it got sorted :D

Small Update (Washed and Cleaned)

Well a small update. I've got Uni coming up, so not much time to do much. Washed her inside and out, and cleaned my engine bay a few months back. It's remained pretty much the same since GTi International;

(Debating whether to do the rest in suede / spray rest of trim black etc)

Another of the engine bay dressed (sporting the chrome battery cover, a taster of other little bits I have to be chromed in future. Looks too bling at the moment!)

Might dress it up some more tomorrow, (weather permitting) and go for a few shots...

White is rare, and cool, the tiger stripe does break up the simple look, which is nice :D

Roof looks good too, good work my Sheepish friend

I love you.

Seats look a lot cleaner from what they looked like when they were in my beemer picking up dust/mould.

Oh and get wheels/low sorted xx

Looks really good mate, the simple mods have improved the car i especially like the tiger strip seats!

What products did you use to clean the engine bay? Mines pretty bad after recent oil and fuel leaks so want to get it cleaned up!

Thanks Paul :), I used a range of products tbh... I used Gunk to get the worse of the worst off, (the waxoyl? being the worst around the bay, it's EVERYWHERE!) And I used some autoglym degreaser on the pipes etc, fairy in the screen washer bottle, megs polish on the metal, still some work to do on the head though! Before dressing the whole thing, I used some Meguiars Tech wax on the unprotected metal in the bay, along with Autosmart plastic / rubber dressing. Silicone free! (So non-sticky, dilluted 4:1 with water too) :) Hope this helps!

Spot on fella thank you, I've used GUNK before and got some in the dizzy which then ruined it so I will have to be extra carefull this time. Did you rinse off with a pressure washer or just running water?

You've done some top work, hopefully I will be cracking on with sorting mine out in the next couple of months when its off the road. But knowing me i'll use the cold weather as an excuse not to touch it for 6 months

Paul, indeed! Don't get it near to the dizzy etc. If you're concerned about anything like that, wrap it in clingfilm :)

Phil and Craig, you get used to it after a while. Just make damn sure that you get all the adhesive on so you don't get any sagging, which will be exaggerated once you get it back up there! :)

They're pretty nice I have to admit. Don't find much difference between them and the old 8v Candy cloth seats, they're the same basically! Just look sexier! :)
