I think it is just the heat shield needs to be lower. Where it is sitting at the moment the tip when not connected to the maf sits happily about an inch lower than the heat sheild hole. I tightened it up really tight and it has moved a tiny amount over the weekend. If it moves any more then I will adjust the shield.

Ha ha....cracked it! Finally got it not to move. It has sat like that for the whole week and not moved an inch.

Yea, I am thinking of spraying the scuttle panel or trying back to black or something similar. I am pleased it has stopped moving however will keep an eye on it. Just waiting for my replacement HIDS to turn up now. Think I may pop down to AMD and take them up on their bush offer, they need replacing anyway.

Sunlight always does, mine's at least as bad :) Bought some detailing stuff recently, need to start practicing what I preach ;)

Nah not done any bushes, other than the dogbone mount but I just had the whole thing change for an ECS one rather than change the bushes. Apart from that, just the new ARB bushes when I got the R32 front ARB fitted. I'm a bit wary of changing them for poly ones in case they make the ride too harsh, I've been warned that they can. The MOT includes checks so if mine failed on some or got an advisory then I'd possibly get poly ones then but for me the handling is fine for now - it's a quick road car, don't want to compromise on comfort any more at the moment.

Have not been on for a while. Little update. Sprayed engine cover and battery box gloss black the other day which came up well. Am off up to Essex on Tuesday to get an exhaust sensor replaced by the nice chaps at AMD as my fuel is non-existent and the car feels held back. Good news is the TIP has not moved and am now thinking about a remap. Its putting out about 250 bhp so am looking forward to seeing what they can do!

Also managed to fix my rear washer jet, has not worked for about 2 years. Pipe had popped off behind rear seat.

Good man. I did the Fabia rear wiper the day I bought my car, lol.

Over 2 years later it's still all good! Not replaced the actual blade itself, works better and quieter than standard rubbish one :)

Not yet was going to look into it. Wasn't sure if you could get them for it. Any ideas of where from. Also need new pads & discs, any recommendations without braking the bank?

Standard discs and pads are fine for standard road use mate, with good fluid you'll be fine.

Or check out EBC plain/grooved discs on Camskill, there is also decent talk of Godspeed discs, again plain and grooved. Pad wise, Ferodo DS2500's are awesome but £130 for a front set. Standard Pagid one's are like £40 a pair or something I think? If someone could correct me to a more accurate price than that then please do..

Mintex are meant to be alright too but very dusty from what quite a few have said on here, also the DS2500's seem to work better for longer. All comes down to budget mate.

My setup, which coped well on track is EBC grooved Ultimax discs, Ferodo DS2500 pads and Motul RBF660 race fluid. Works very well.

Yep, go to www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk, they sell blades too. When you feed in your car details pick a year around 2002 or 2003. I just went on to check based on my car (55 plate) and it said both blades were 26" - they're not, that's for the Mk2. Mk1 Leons have a 21" and a 19" front blade. Bosch Aerotwin ones to fit standard wiper arms (i.e. not actual aero arms) are what you want. Some folk say the generic 21" and 19" Tesco ones are pretty decent and they're also very cheap too.

I just changed my discs and pads, got EBC plain discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads. Think the whole lot came to just over £250 from www.camskill.co.uk. I wouldn't bother with grooved discs personally and stay well away from drilled ones as they're prone to cracking. If I'm perfectly honest the DS2500s don't seem as much better than stock as I was led to believe, if I was to choose again I'd probably save a few quid and get Pagid pads.
