If they are locked then does that just mean that a BlueFin is out of the question but REVO or APR would still work?
it means whoever you go to has got to open the ECU

You will have been reading stuff from the likes of Poverty (now banned) and one or two of his cronies who spent most of his time ripping the arse out of Revo before Poverty got banned.
Loads of people on here use Revo and and are delighted with it. The benefits of Revo include map adjustability, loads of re-sellers across the UK and the map is nothing like aggressive, especially if you dial in "mild" settings. Before deciding though, you should consider;
1) Price
2) Where it can be done
3) Customer support
4) Scalability of map- ie can the code be upgraded if you modify your car
5) Ability to run a "stock" file
6) Adjustability
7) Performance figures (bhp ftlbs and performance) although to be fair, most of them will be the same or similar.

OK so BlueFin out of the question then
Surely your average garage doesn't have a rolling road though? Maybe I'm missing something but most of the REVO dealers near me seem to just be average garages from what I can see on their websites.
Is this the switch you mean? http://www.revotechnik.com/index.php?mod=sps
Thanks for your responses Al - I've just booked the car in to get the Revo remap done on Thursday![]()
I guess it doesn't help that I'd only done 1300 miles in the car, so I wasn't that used to how it performed stock.
Well it should have transformed the car. Even when I put a bluefin stage 1 on mine originally the difference was noticeable.
