Ordered a Cupra ST 290 manual at the end of September, for delivery Jan 2016. £495 more than 280, but dealer said that they would no longer be taking orders for 280. Performance pack, leather pack and nav high. Wanted the Seat sound system, but apparently you can't have it with the performance pack, because the space saver wheel is deleted.

Is this a UK spec car?

Yes, should have added I'm in the UK, UK spec car. Had a long exchange with dealer and Seat, over whether I could have the space saver wheel, with performance pack wheels. Answer no, though I'm not convinced it wouldn't fit on the back, since the rear Brembos look much like standard car. So no Seat sound system.

Just wondering how you and your dealer know the spec and price of a 290? Called seat yesterday and they haven't a clue what's difference is yet and my dealer hadn't got an idea either! Have you got any brochures want to share with us.

I chuffed I have paid 280 money for a 290 just concerned that all the options I ticked I will still get!

I found out about the 290 on this forum, confronted my dealer, because I didn't want to end up with one of the last 280. After long spell on the 'phone to Seat, he came back with a price. Options same as ST 280. From what I've read, the front diff may be new, now described as "front differential lock", rather than "mechanical limited slip diff". And the exhaust has been "retuned".
So some lucky souls will have their 280 orders upgraded to 290, without the price increase. I can live with that, but I really wanted the sound system.

Why can't you get the sound? Is it the sub 8 performance pack you have gone with?

ordered my 290 Cupra (everything standard) from a seat dealer outside London,UK

Apparently it will be on the system next week so will be ordered then and delivered early 2016.

Hi,

Last week I ordered a ST Cupra with Performance Pack + Seat Sound System. (Spain Spec car)

They replace 18" space saver for a foam what has the hole for the sub, same dimension that space saver 18" rim inside. The car comes with puncture repair kit.

Anyway, I will replace this puncture repair kit for 18" space saver + tools (of course keeping the sub inside the 18" space saver) taking in account that the spare could not be assembled on the front due to the collision with Brembo Calipers (minimum ET 54, space saver 18" ET25).

Will be tricky to swap the 19" if got a puncture on the front but in my opinion is worst to have a side tyre break in the middle of somewhere dark :(

I am asking some questions to clarify the items to purchase in order of get the 18" on board at this thread: This forum web address /forums/showthread.php?t=424333 (I could not paste links before 15 posts )

Soooo got a phone call yesterday saying the car arrives today and can sign for it tomorrow and hopefully get to pick it up then or Friday, to say I'm excited would be an understatement, ordered 8th September and it's ready already, will post some pics when I get it :) :)

So what are realistic lead times? I ordered a 5dr 280 DSG with a few bits on Friday (through broker4cars) and have been told 28 weeks! (Still, I should at least get a 290!)

91 days for a 280 manual very recently. Franchised dealer.

Going to chase mine tomorrow with dealer as my revised order was 9th of September so around the same time as you guys who are getting this week. My build week was week 44 though which is this week.

My car has been built!

Delivery to dealer estimated for the 16th of November. Just trying to get boat details now so I can track it across the sea!

Ordered! Finally. 5DR, 290, Dynamic Grey, SEAT Soundsystem, Black Line Pack, Driver Assistance Pack, 19" CUPRA wheels. And now, we wait.
