Ive been quoted £336 per month for a leon coupe cupra black. I think it works out I get it for £27995, although I need to put £1750 down as a deposit ... That's over 42 months at 8000k millage per year.

I always though personal contract hire was the more expensive option? What millage have you got for that price?

Best place to look is whatcar.co.uk at leasing deals. Mine 2 years, 8000 miles. Doing 2 years as won't need to have serviced and 2 years @ 8000 miles won't need to change tyres. If you do 3 years or longer you will need to replace tyres and service costs. May as well save the £800 you would spend on tyres an use it for your deposit for your next one instead!

I put a £6000 deposit down for a 36 month PCP with 0% finance and 35 payments of £321. Believe my final payment is a bit over £10k which I will probably put a lump towards then finance the rest. *edit 10k miles per year.

Think I got a fairly decent deal tbh, the car is definitely worth the money believe me. Build quality is excellent, everything is very solid and high quality without being flashy or boy racerish. The design of the car is again very smart and classy looking, pretty much as far from the hot civic as you can get. The exhaust noise is ridiculous, I havnt even opened it up completely yet and it's still very loud on gear changes. Great level of tech on mine, the standard satnav is excellent and the seat control system thing is brilliant.

Ordered mine a few weeks back. Really good lease deal - couldn't find anything similar for the money. Only downside is the wait! July build slot delivery expected September

Received an email this week and build is taking place with delivery in 3 weeks. looking forward to it. Anyone else find their delivery quote being massively reduced from what they were first told?

I must say I really like the standard seats, I didn't see the buckets as worth the cost. I've got them heated and think they're great.

Though I also have a bad back so couldn't hack full bucket seats

For me the feeling is almost same. The big difference is that bucket seats on the back is all plastic without any storage...and plastic will get scratches soon.

I guess you really need the opinion of someone who's had experience of several thousand miles with each type of seat.

Here's my very limited experience.

I sat in an SC with bucket seats in a dealership and they felt OK.

I then had a test drive in an SC with standard seats and they felt OK too.

I took delivery of my 5 door Black edition which has the bucket seats as standard. I really like the look and feel of them, which is similar to my Type R. I really don't have any experience of several hours sitting in each type of seat. Having said all that, I really can't imagine you'll be disappointed in the standard seats. I know I wouldn't have been. The car overall is so brilliant!

Best of luck with the new car, sounds great. I also prefer 2 year lease deals but my experience is a little different to yours. It's also worth a look on the Contract Hire and Leasing website which is a big search engine just for lease deals, although saying that I have arranged my next car through my local dealer as they were able to beat all other deals I've seen.

I got my Cupra 280 5 door in July '14 on a 2 year lease, 8,000 miles per year which was my mileage then, it has since dropped due to a change in circumstances, it's now done just over 12k and goes back in 5 weeks time. Mine was set to the variable service interval by the supplying dealer which suited me fine, the car will tell you what it needs and when - if you don't stick to that you can risk falling foul of the lease company which is fair enough. My car needed an oil change (£139 at main dealer) after 12 months and has just had it's first inspection service (£179, also main dealer) a couple of weeks ago - I expected to service it once in the 2 years so fair enough.

I was hoping to get 2 years out of the tyres too but the fronts didn't make it, the original Bridgestones were never up to the job, with hindsight I wish I had changed them long ago as the car is so much better to drive now. If I'd been keeping the car longer I would have looked at Goodyears or Michelins but went for Avon ZZ5s as they seemed a good compromise between price and quality (£177 for 2, fitted) and they are fine so far (apparently they aren't the longest lasting but that isn't an issue for me).

My new Cupra 290 arrives early next month and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it comes with Contis on rather than Pirellis based on the other threads here - I reckon with a slightly lighter right foot it may be possible to get 12K out of them but time will tell, I didn't get the car to drive it like a nun

Already have some plans to tweak car visual look even it's nice already. Painting brake calipers to toxic green, exhaust pipes to black crome, wrap roof black (part that is not sunroof), K&N filter just for fun. Remove all cupra logos back of the car, paint front grille logo and cupra mark black.

My leased cupra 290 is getting built next week. Hopefully it should be here a few weeks after that.

£168 a month was too good to turn down. Even the seat dealership said it was a deal they couldn't match.

I've got 450 miles on mine now, took it easy for the first 50 miles or so then tended to use manual a lot. Let it run through the rev ranges as often as I can without redlining it. Once I'm over 500 miles I'll basically be driving it however I desire. I think it's a bit of a myth that engines require running in these days, tollerances on engine design are tiny now! Just take it easy for a few hundred mile.

I believe the manual says (for those using the metric system) - 1500 km with 2/3 maximum rev capacity

Probably the worst you can do is drive it calmly with little throttle. Don't redline it but don't be afraid to use that throttle pedal now and then once the oil has some temperature.
