I have welded mine solid lol and then got 25mm antiroll bar to go on it. And fitted powerflex black bushes too

All the mating faces and then ran a plate across the bottom to make a triangle over the torsion bat to strengthen and make it ridged.
So under cornering the back end mk1 as and brakes away and then slides causing less pressure on to the front saving tyres and stopping over heating and over working them.
All done threw shock setting and tyre pressures

Fitted a cheap and cheerful boost gauge with the help of some patient friends. Went through the spare gromit into the cabin with a hot screwdriver as the window wipers were simply not coming off peacefully.

Sweet, I've always liked the Supercopa rear arches and would certainly want them if I ever considered the fronts which I've always felt looked weird on their own.
Are they just tacked in for now as you've mentioned they needed more lining up?
I'm also interested to see how the door edge looks with the extensions attached.

The door is fibreglassed together . The rear arch is just glued for the moment for a quick look. The only thing is the arch goes in to the door gap the I am going to have to send them both back so I have a gap. And then the moulding is good but not brilliant so some giggery pokery to sort it out... But it's a race car... it's gotta look good a speed lol

The supercopa had only wider front arches. It was the btcc and other touring car toledos that had the wide rear arches. So I bought a pair and then cut them to sort of fit and then curved them to fit back on to the body.
This is how the car at darkside left them this was a seat sport build but no one really knows why it was built tho lol
The Darkside car (which is owned by a guy I know) was a bit of a secret project by SEAT Sport UK (Northern South) basically a MK1 Supercopa fitted with PD150 engine and Toledo BTCC running gear.
The idea behind it was the prove that they could build TDI cars as fast as the Supercopa's. It never ran as far as I'm aware (maybe did some secret testing).
Obviously a few years later SEAT Sport ES ran the PD170/CR170 in WTCC and eventually BTCC as well.

I thought I was early development of a diesel race car... use a proven shell. Then use the toledo rear end but with coil overs. Again use all the toledo body work. As it's not got a lcr front bumper etc. But then changed to the mk2 instead
It was a Supercopa car stripped and fitted with Toledo running gear and some toledo bodywork, SEAT Sport UK wanted to run them in the Supercopa cup but it never got that far.
It wasn't in any way built by SEAT Sport in Spain.
SEAT Sport in Spain were at the same time testing diesel engines ready to race in 2007 WTCC, they ran them 2007-2009 in the end, SEAT Sport UK borrowed diesel engines for BTCC 2008.

Random question, but does anyone want this? It's damaged and they go for pennies on eBay and if anyone has a track build where it doesn't matter so much if it gets scuffed up or something, I'd much rather it's used than end up in landfill.
I'm in Brighton and happy to hold onto it until after the lockdown, but thought I'd put it out there.
