the one click app are not official from OBD eleven engineers? are they unsafed?

Yes they are, but it is not possible for them to test each and every combination of control unit hardware and software possibilities and their possible interactions with each other. An app that works for almost all combinations might not work for one that wasn't tested.

ok, is possible to someone to try this modification on a seat leon mk4 fr?
central unit 17 --> adaptation --> configuration of displayable contents --> upshift display in center panel --> not display
I receive Failed

All unsafe if you dont think they have been tested correctly. One click market is designed to challenge other one click companies. If you want proper coding you code and that isn't really coding it's toggling on predefined functions that Vag have built into their systems for customisation for their own purposes. A point which people miss. Reversing out of what they have done via one click is the all important thing. Obdeleven started to use crowd sourcing to develop the one click apps which obviously means amateurs are producing the macros by scouring published mods.

The problem with odb11 is.
They do not test themselves (usually) whether the coding is correct, it is also almost impossible to have every type of car available.

And nowadays coding 1 module no longer works.
What I mean by this is: every module present in the car communicates with each other.

So if you make a change in 1 module, the other modules with which that one module communicates with the change must also be coded, otherwise you will get an error code because it will not receive a response from the module that has not changed.

So it is wise to ignore the one-click apps, especially if they are new.
First ask people whether they have already tested this on their car, and what effect they had.
Don't just assume that it works or is good.

And always first make a backup of your coding in the car, so you can always look back to see where things went wrong.
You cannot report this often enough.

While you're generally correct, that is not the case for every coding entry and every adaptation change. For the beginners, it should be said that there are a lot of coding entries which are relevant only in a single control unit. As for testing all combinations, as I also pointed out before, it is true that it's impossible to test all types of hardware, firmware and feature combinations.

Yes it's like the one of the presence of a motorised seat effects the programming of the mirror. The app isn't going to say is there a motorised seat, if so alter this byte other than that dont when programming the mirror. If the guys that crowd source the apps don't take account of that you are stuffed. The motorised driving seat is one of them. You see it in coding instructions.

Basically the micro payment apps run as a macro doing the "coding" you would do by hand as a sequence of commands. So they do program across systems but may not be aware of all the coding rules that need to be obeyed between systems. In other words the youngsters that have bought into the Obdeleven creme le creme dongle option to produce one click code have released something that doesn't work, but these finer points get missed by easy solution one click people.

Whilst i don't very often use the OCA I still do for stuff like service reset.

I would add however the tool they use looks at the current settings that are going to be changed and if they are not as expected then you will get the message telling you it does not work.

Further I have seen refunds being given where its taken credits and not worked and also build a free solution where the OCA has caused issues or given user a limited time PRO account and instructions on what to do.

The guys who build this stuff do a reasonable job but as @serdar_18fr said they don't build for each variation of setup, this is possible in the Ultimate plan where you can build OCA for specific setups.

As this is a SFD2 Environment in many cases we know that currently OBD11 Say they have built all they apps they can till they can unlock it (which Carista says is not far away (not sure if that click bate or real)). This is also true for BMW (They are not even trying to do anything at the moment and they admitted yesterday that Mercs they have built all they can (My guess is its all related to the new UNECE R155/6 RULES))

I still think there will be some mods, due to things like right to service rules but I suspect very much less than we had in the past.

They appear to be trying to sell as many units as possible by using tried and tested x% discount for this week only, then bring out another one straight after.

As long as they don't kill the white one that I periodically use and keep in the car for instant diagnosis. Came in handy in Ireland.
well spotted this online today
