first i followed the forge guide for removing everything, i didnt remove the headlight as there is no need,
first task is the MAP pipe, this is a bit of a pain, i removed the battery and tray, fitted the map pipe and then started to put the battery tray back, you will then find it wont fit, start cutting bit at a time, as per pic. i used a dremal for this.

on the battery tray there is a bolt where the bracket goes to hold the battery in, you will need to grind the bracket down and also the mount

you will then be able to put the tray and battery back in,

i then cut a bit of the battery cover, again bit a a time, its not worth rushing, most of the time taken is trying fitting and removing it again,

i then used a crap piece or hose to wrap round the map tube, to stop it rubbing and knocking on the battery bracket.

MOUNTING THE COOLER,

its grinder time, there is no need to remove the crash bar for this, put the cooler in place, use a tool box to get it to the correct level,

IMG_1976.jpg

you will see the bottom pipes are rubbing on some metal, again bit at a time remove this with a grinder, (you dont have to but im fussy and dont want any pipes rubbing or in the way) dont forget to spray the bare metal with an anti rust

the cooler should sit fine then, there are luckely some holse drilled in the upside down V metal bits in front of the rad, these holes line perfect with the monting holes on your cooler, you will need to buy some L shapled brackets and its as easy as bolting it on,

ROUGHTING THE PIPES

i started at the cooler, with the 45 degree on both side, followed with the 90 degree and then the 75 degree into the car,

sorry no pics yet as im at this stage,

hope it helps so far

Looking good Nev:clap: i will be doing this as soon as the funds are available but sub £200 for the mod it should'nt be long, although you have the benefit of a garage well an empty one i might have to do some clearing out to get the car in mine:lol:

Did you use any of the pipe joiners supplied with the pipe kit? also do you think there is room for a dump valve out let on the forge pipe as when you look at the pick with it in but no plastics back on it looks ok.

to be honest i was goin to get the missus to give me a hand putting it back on, but think i would be better on my own with one arm tide behind my back,

Very impressed with you work and desire to do it yourself. Pitty they don't sell a variant of the intercooler with both pipes on one side suitable for the LC or i would have considered this seriously.
