As the title says my drivers R/H lower support on the seat (bit against your right thigh) is wearing what i believe to be excessively .The car is an 06 plate LCR with 31k on the clock.
I have emailed seat and received the following response:
Sorry for the delay in replying, this is...
Evening guys,
My rear discs were replaced probably 6-8 months ago as they were toast! today i had my M.O.T and they failed on the rears again. Now the garage werent conning me the discs were a mess (one worse than the other). The rear pads were still fine and looked pretty new. So what...
Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me here. Have a MK2 Leon 1.4 TFSI Stylance. Great car, but have what seems like a major problem with condensation build-up on the inside of the windscreen each morning. On colder mornings there is also ice build up on the inside. This only affects the...
Hi,
Has anyone had any trouble with moisture in their cars? I have noticed that my rear window steams up and on journey it takes a long time to clear (30 mins+) but this morning I got in my car to find my front windscreen frosted up inside and out (we had a hard frost last night) which...
Right took my car (lcr mk1 55 plate) to get MOT'd last sat and on the way there the excessive light symbol came on and stayed on.
Went to garage and the car passed its MOT but the garage didnt have a fault reader system thingy and said it might just be a glitch and see how it goes for a few...
Had my car on the rolling road sat. results were 193.5bhp and 278lbs torque. i have read that after remap i should be looking around 300lbs torque? also the technition said it smokes more than what he has seen before? any ideas what could be wrong?
Had the cambelt changed and full service at 57k miles.
Now, when I accelerate from 2nd, 3rd and 4th, from stationary and at lowish revs, i feel a fairly harsh vibration through the accelerator pedal that definately wasn't there before the belt/service was done. It's not something that has...
The other day I was chatting to someone who had chosen to wrap the intake pipework of a CAI with a gold tape to reduce the heat absorption and ensure the air getting into the system was as cold as could be. Given the temperatures in modern petrol cars can generate under the bonnet this seemed to...
It was time for my Ibiza to move on. Been a great car over the last 3 years, reliable and economical, just a little slow! She appears several times on my web-site and has been the guinea pig for testing many car-care products. :)
Anyway it needed a good pep up and a few "little issues"...

Hi guys. Hope you all had a good Christmas an santa was generous :D
I am looking for advice. I fitted coilover suspension all round and a set of 16" wheels with 195/40x16 tyres. I set the front camber to 2 deg which I know is slightly too much but it handles like a kart. 2000 miles later and the...
it's what the engine symbol on my leon cuprat tdi indicates. Symbol comes on at ignition and just stays on - is it a faulty light or could it be summat more sinister ?
Hi I wonder if anyone can help me
I have a 2001 Seat Leon Cupra and about 2 months ago the Excessive Pollution Warning light came on and stayed on. I took the car to the garage and they switched the light off - and said keep an eye on it - bring it back if it happens again.
It did happen...
Hi All
I have a really annoying problem that i wonder if you could help with.
My 01 leon Cupra has a really.... annoying problem.
When cold the car hesitates and kangaroos away, after (what i believe is a fan motor) cuts out the problem goes away, normally within 3-4 minutes from cold...
I am having a major problem, with what I believe is either a faulty tyre, or tyres. I have had all the suspension and wheel bearings checked, and these are OK.
Problem.... If I drive on a very smooth road surface, the tyre noise is very, very loud, and you can feel through the steering...
I drive an R and I seem to be experiencing excessive tyre wear on the inside edge. Has anyone else experienced this problem because, as you all know, rubber ain't cheap!!
Cheers
;)
It hasn't caused me a problem yet...although frustration if I'm going out in the night on an emergency call.
Occasionally.....& the ambient air temperature can be 10-15DegC I get the Glow plug light on the instrument panel come on for 30 + secs, whereas last Winter when it was -5DegC or less...
Hi
Just bought a 05 Altea 2.0 TDI Sport DSG a couple of weeks ago for the wife and I must admit I love it. It has 20,000 on the clock and was previously the Seat Dealers demonstrator, although due to the mileage I expect it was also taken home by the reps.
My only concern is that it seems...
Hi,
My lovely Leon Cupra is not very well.
It was fine this morning, but when I started it after work it immediately was very rough and sounding a bit like a diesel (CHUG CHUG CHUG). After about 30 seconds, the Excessive Pollution/Diagnosis light started blinking at me.
Car felt very...
Just under two weeks ago (Friday the week before last), my wife bought a brand new Ibiza FR TDI 130. Two days later, on the Sunday, with about 180 miles on the clock, she pulled into the side of the road to let a driver who seemed to be following her get past. Well the person was following...
