312mm brakes behind 16s?

As above. Ive got an awesome plan for the leon but need to know if you can squeeze 312mm brakes behind 16s first

Unless the calipers are massively different in width etc to the mk1 leon, I'd have thought they would fit.?The first LCs came with 16" multispokes and 312mm brakes like mine...

Should think they will, I had 312mm behind 16 " wheels on mk4 Golf.

I'm fairly sure the V5 170 Toledo comes with 16's and discs roughly that size.

Although you might have to be careful with some cheapie 16's, some don't have the same internal clearance as VAG alloys would have. From my old Vauxhall days, I remember several Cavalier/Calibra owners going from 15's to 16's, and finding the 16's give less disc clearance than the factory 15's.
